Depending on how well you know each person, were they your friend or your dad's, write a simple note thanking them for their thoughts or prayers. example:
"Dear so and so, Thank you for remembering my father. It is good to know we are in your thoughts. Thank you..."
If you know them well or they were especially thoughtful, a little something extra. example:
"Dear so and so, I appreciate you reaching out to me at this difficult time. Knowing people are here helps."

HOWEVER! your dad just died and no one expexts perfect manners at this time.
I'm sorry for your loss

Bear in mind that you may have a lot to reply to, so keep it short (unless it's email, when can copy and paste).

'Thankyou for your concern' is short.

"Your life in the flesh has come to an end, but your love and care from your spirit will be everlasting..."

If this doesn't help, try saying stuff from your heart.

"Your thoughtfulness at this time of great sorrow is truly a comfort"
"Thank you for your thoughts and kind words"
