This guys from ESPN made a very interesting point. Tell me what you think.

Deal No. 1: Phoenix trades Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, Marcus Banks and the rights to Atlanta's 2008 first-rounder to the Lakers for Kobe and Radmanovic.

Now we're talking! Some of my favorite things about this trade include …

(A) The Lakers ending up with a nucleus of Marion, Odom, Barbosa and Bynum, along with Farmar, Walton, Turiaf and the No. 19 pick, as well as the inevitable Kwame Brown trade to a moronic team that convinces itself that Kwame's career could be salvaged. That's a pretty good foundation.

(B) Phoenix trotting out a starting lineup of Nash, Kobe, Raja Bell, Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw. Good golly. Sweet Jesus.

(C) Radmanovic realizing his manifest destiny of playing in Phoenix. It was meant to be from the moment Mike D'Antoni and Nash teamed up three years ago.

(D) Kobe and Raja as teammates. High comedy. The most improbable pairing since Rodman and Pippen 12 years ago.

(E) The most selfish player in the league (Kobe) playing with the most unselfish player in the league (Nash). What a fascinating sociological experiment. If Nash can turn Kobe into a team player, I'm voting him for our 2008 president even though he's Canadian.

Two potential problems: First, it's unlikely that the Lakers would be dumb enough to trade Kobe within their own division, although with Kupchak involved, anything's possible. And second, assuming that Nash has a say in front-office decisions at this point, would he really want to green-light a scenario that has him managing two enormous egos in Stoudemire and Kobe?

Well, lemme throw this at you: What if the Suns then swapped Stoudemire to Minnesota for KG, as I proposed in a May 14 column? That would give them the following crunch-time lineup: Nash, Kobe, Bell, Diaw and KG. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2008 World Champions! Just send them the trophy right now.

So that's my vote: Black Mamba, you're going to Phoenix to play with KG and Nash. And if it happens, I can guarantee that the 2008 playoffs will be more entertaining than the 2007 playoffs.

If that were to happen, I have no doubt that Kobe will end up having a 100 point game. However, it's unlikely, if Pheonix were the only team willing and able to make the deal, I would'nt send him there. If anything, Kobes gonna get stuck in the midwest, or possibly New York. Those are the only options that will leave the Lakers with any chance of saving face. Of course, with the descision making they have shown in the past, your correct...they could do it anyway.

As for Kwame Brown, I'm pretty sure he's going to end up swimming laps in the free agent pool. I would'nt touch him with a 10 foot pole.

that would be horrible for the SUNS. basically what your putting together is the west all star team which is great and all but the Lakers would doubtfully trade within the conference, Kobe and Bell as y ou put would be horrible, and if you look at the SUNS, yes they a few stars but nobody is really like THE GUY which is what Kobe has to be. the SUNS play more as a team where if Kobe comes in you probably lose some talent. and trading stoudemire for garnett is dumb too because garnett is older but stoudemire is young and just got named to the all NBA first team. The SUNS just need to figure out the dam Spurs and they will win the title. the SPURS own the SUNS end of story

You additionally ought to take within the occasions and situations on the time. Lakers vs. Suns sequence: Suns have been nonetheless a far higher crew then the Lakers even w/o Amare. They had the reigning MVP- Nash, a primary Shawn Marion, a lock-down defender in Raja Bell, satisfactory sixth guy Leandro Barbosa and an excessively well helping forged. You particularly anticipate Kobe to overcome that loaded Suns crew via himself? I consider your expectancies are a lot too prime. Cavs vs. Pistons sequence: This is the 12 months wherein the Pistons began declining. LeBron took over the sequence, sure, but additionally he had an excessively well helping forged. And the Pistons particularly were not gambling good in combination, have been'nt pulling down pictures were not gambling their typical lock-down Pistons D.

Nope. It wont happen for alot of reasons. The Suns frontdesk is one of the most loved ones in the league right now for the job they did creating the team they have. Why would they essentially dismantle ALL of that for a player wo brings a ton of emotional stress to his current team, and surely would bring it to yours as well?

Next reason, Kobe is hated in Phoenix. They would have season tickets on the web for sale instantly as soon as they even considered that trade. People in Pho were in love with Bell when he threw Kobe to the floor last year, the franchise knows that the fans come before anything....

Nash would get sick of Kobe quite quick. He has recently had less and less patience in games, as you can tell my his emotions when he plays. He isnt the fun loving guy he once was anymore, and kobe and him would surely blow up in less than a year.

The suns wouldnt want to trade Stat for KG.... they are remarkably pleased with Stat, and he wont be leaving anytime soon....

No way it happens. The Lakers will not give Kobe up to a division rival. Even if they did, don't you think they'd want Nash or Amare in the deal?

No way....we should not give up Marion or Barbosa...Marion is such a big asset to the Suns. And so is Barbosa as a matter of fact. Not to mention I just don't want to have to watch Kobe every game next season(let alone root for him)...ew I just felt puke in my mouth thinking about it...I for one don't want to have Kobe in Phoenix
