I work at a factory, and I found out we have to work on July 4th. We are off the 5th and 6th. I know I have to work on the 4th to get the 5th and 6th paid for. My question is, will we get holiday (time 1/2) pay for working on the 4th? I work at a place that is union. Thank you!

I have been having these horrible nightmares. These dreams concern my best friends. These dreams are similar to the ones I had right before my girlfriend died. I had dreams about her suffering right before she died. I have almost no memory of them but all I can remember is her in pain and suffering and then I could not get her and these images out of my head until she died. My best friends in my dreams die. I have been having these dreams for over lets say a week in a half. I don't want them to become real! Ever since I have been getting these nightmares, I have been overly protective and concerned. I want to know how I can save my friends from possible death. Can anyone help me?! If anyone wants to hurt my best friends, I will hunt the animals down and slaughter them!!! I am not going to lose my best friend like I did my girlfriend. I will use my new strengths to conquer the world and my best friend and I can rule the world as brothers(not blood related)!

Is it okay for me to wear a necklace with a cross on it even though i am not christian or catholic...i am not of any certain religion but believe in god and have my own relationship with him without following a religion. She reads at an above average level at home and we had to ask her teacher to send home more difficult books as she could read the books she was being given. She even complained the books were always the same.

We spoke to the teacher about it and subsequently got harder books which she can still read fine, but the teacher now wants her to go into a special program because her reading is below the average.

This makes no sense to me.

When people first learn that I am an atheist, they ask me if I believe in morals or have morals. I often ask them that if they didn't have a god looking over their shoulder, would they go and rape or kill people because there was no hope for reward and no fear of punishment?

So this goes out to all the Christians, Jews, and Muslims out there: If there is no god, would you go and be "immoral" or would still be moral because it is just simply the right thing to do? Now reflect on your answer to the latter question. Ok, no answer . . . do you think it is possible for atheist to be moral people?

little side note, the two largest philanthropists in the world are atheist . . .

I’ll give you a hint. It’s a four letter word that rhymes with chick. The first letter in the word is d and the last letter is k. Don’t you think this would be a more appropriate genre title that ‘action’ film?

Think about it: Most films aimed at young men have the same basic characters. Young twenty-something dudes bonding with other twenty-something dudes, running away from or fighting bad dudes. Young dudes running around bare chested half the time, doing things the young dudes in the audience wish they were doing. Kicking and hitting and biting and fighting, with an audience full of young twenty-something dudes watching them.

If I remember right, when I was in my twenties I was much more interested in seeing young women than I was in watching other young dudes. So what’s going on with these young dudes?

Action Films? Or Surpressed Tendencies Films?

i have this... plate or bowl thingy made of rock, has the shape LIKE CEREAL BOWL so it's NOT LIKE GOLDIES' BOWL. its waterproof and its circle from above with diameter of 47cm, height 14cm. not very hard to imagine, right?

I am a mexican mother who is very worried because my daughter who is 18 went to Montreal today. I told her to let me know as soon as she was there and had had no answer. she arrived there 5 hours ago and I think it is time enough to call. This is the first time she goes on her own. I have an group interview on Thursday, but the place I applied to said that it was full and asked me if I wanted to try at another place. I said sure, but I was unaware of the fact that it was considerably farther. Now I don't want it, but I've already said yes. Should I just not attend? It's not really a big deal.
