so here's the deal. My mom wont let me get a short emo styled haircut, would it be easier to go with a longer one or to try and pursade her? If u found some longer ones, whats a good site?

I'm taking a Mass Communication & Journalism class in college right now, & one of the subjects that came up was terrorism. When you think of a terrorist (most people, not all) the most common type of person will be someone from the Middle East. But according to the defenition(s), wouldn't the US be considered terrorists?

The US has defined terrorism under the Federal Criminal Code:

activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and… (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States… [or] (C) occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the US

I am going to go for a lifeguard course. I am CPR trained, but, they never quite specified the proper protocol for a drowning/near drowning victim. assuming you pull out a victim with no pulse or breathing, what exactly do you do?

rescue breathing isnt effective because there is water inside the victim's lungs. how do you get it out?

my hair is kinda wavy and i really want it to be super straight. I tak ea shower at night and if i sleep with it wet it gets even more wavy. If i use a blow dryer it dets frizzy and still wavy. I think the straighteners that i have are just cheap crap. i dont remember how much they cost but one is the kind that you can change it to either straighten, curl, or crimp your hair. What is a really good straightener that isnt too expensive? i cant live with my hair being even a little bit wavy. I dont want to spend 100 dollars on a straightener but i can deal with 50 or so.

ok, so my doctor says a cat scan showed that I have fluid in my abdomen likely of a gyno. nature... but then I haven't had my period for a year and a half... I don't think I have cysts, so what is this fluid? and can I get rid of it? or should I? Is that why I maybe look bloated sometimes? I don't get it... I had an appendectomy in Europe, but I'm fine, that was like two years ago. I'm a vegetarian. I'm really pretty healthy... and don't worry, I won't be taking any answers and then holding people responsible for misinformation or whatever...I admire people with the courage to answer medical q's...yikes!

My goodness, the man made a decision to go to war on the flimsiest of evidence (there was more evidence to convict O.J.). When Tenet gave him what they had, Bush said, "Is this all there is?" How hard is it to understand that he is the commander-in-chief and has the ultimate responsibility in taking us to war and is responsible for his own actions. A soldier's job is to fight (and possibly die) to protect this nation. A poltician's job is to make sure he never has to. If helicopter pilot's are responsible for making mistakes that result in friendly fire incidents, why is it such a big stretch for some of you to understand that the buck stops with the president when it comes to waging war??

I thought about this and it was just so hilarious. Everyday, he is on air bashing illegal immigrants. What if tracing his roots with those of those who spend time bashing llegal immigrants so much reveals that maybe his dad, grand dad, great grand dad, etc came to America illegally. I love vegetables but don't enjoy eating fruit. I also feel that my body is sensitive to sugar. Because of this, I feel that when I eat fruit it makes me hungrier than if I didn't eat it at all.

Does fruit really have vitamins that vegetables don't, or will I be okay if I make up for not eating much fruit by eating more vegetables?

(On a side note, I will mention that I have a strong family history of diabetes-both parents and two grandparents developed it in old age. However, I've been tested and so far I do not have it.)

I have a trig test that I know absolutely nothing for... I'm in bad need of math-charity!!

Part I
so questions 5-7 have the following:

GIVEN: tan A= -3/53π/2sin B= -1/4πcot C= 1/2π

5.) sin (A+B)
6.) tan c/2
7.) sin 2B


thenn...

Part II

8.) tan 7π/8 (half angle)
9.) sin 285 (sum)
10.) cos 5π/12 (difference)

My friend copied the problems, so I believe we have to use the trig identities to solve this(??) I seriously have no clue what I'm doing...... I was sick for the majority of the time she taught these.
