I just turned 18, and I am graduating from my senior year in Highshcool in a couple weeks. Sometimes next year I plan on going to basic training to join the Army Infantry. I am joining for many different reasons, but I just don't think that I physically handle some of the things that they will ask of me.

I am 230 pounds (slightly overweight) and am going to spend the rest of this year getting into shape, but still I am unsure of myself. My real question is for those of you that have been threw basic training.

I am wondering if the officers and trainers work with the recruits and such. I mean, say I cannot do a few things, will I be able to continue? Can they kick me out? Any details on what basic is like would be greatly appreciated, I really want this.

I was given a Reflector telescope, which works really well. Problem is the Tripod is cheap plastic, and is impossible to operate and locate small heavenly bodies. It is made by edu-science, and I'm having a hard time finding a compatable tripod. Suggestions.

House on Mango Street is a novel with short chapters told from the viewpoint of a girl. The chapters are short and don't have a continuous plot; they are more like mini-episodes although they have the same characters and the characters view does change. Can you think of another modern novel with this format?

Hi all, I went on vacation and forgot to turn my water heaters to vacation! When I returned the water was cold coming through the faucet. After some investigation I realised the water heater pump had tripped the trip switch on the main electric panel. I reset it and thought all would be fine. Now it is OK for a day or two and then it trips the electric panel again. Any Ideas on what is the matter and how I might fix it? The water heaters themselves are fine and are burning all OK. Many Thanks!

I see in these boards that Puerto Ricans or Native Americans get offended for being called Mexican??

Jennifer Lopez is Puerto Rican and she got famous playing the part of a Mexican named Selana.

Esai Morales played who is Puerto Rican played the part of a mexicans brother in the movie "La Bamba."

Erik Estrada played the part of a Mexican in the Los Angeles PD called Chips

Lou Diamond Phillips who is native american got famous for playing the part of a Mexican name Richie Valens in La Bamba.

Some native americans played the part of Mexican/Guatemalan indians in Mel Gibson's movie Acapolicto.

And then they get offended for being called mexicans??

In Florida, all the spanish speaking people are Cubans and carribeans but, Mexicans take the blame because people think that because they speak spanish they are mexican.

Why can't mexicans be allowed to play the part of mexicans in Hollywood movies??

I have to write a trial court and an appellate court brif.We're supposed to read this chapter in order to do it,but it's emphasixing the differences between memoranda and briefs.Not the differences between the trial and appellate specifically...I know they're more persuasive and the formats are the same(right?);rule,case law,application,conclusion...but how am I gonna write them based on the same case and facts?Just need structural pointers.Thanks!

Why do people like to ask "am i too old to start dancing" so much? from 13-30 years old there' people who wanna take up dance but feels that there to old to start. Is that an excuse for self consolation (never mind if i screw up cos i missed the peak period) or something else?

Both of them are plants, in the vegetable category.

Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.

To go one step further, chocolate candy bars

also contain milk, which is dairy.

So candy bars are a health food.

Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

Remember-

"STRESSED" spelled backward is "DESSERTS" !!!
