got dell computer won't reconize 16gb usb why?

16gb usb pin tryed it on a friends computer and it worked fine but on mine it does not give a letter for it to except or tranfer data

Please provide the model of your PC as well as the make & model of the device you are trying to connect to it for a detailed response.
Odds are that a simple driver will resolve the issue.
