my equation is:

f:x --> -1/2x^2

what i have so far:

a maximum
axis of symmetry = 0
vertex = 0

i thought that a (ax^2+bx+c) was supposed to determine the width...? the [sample] answers in the back of the book say it's +/- 3 wide.

go easy on me - it's my first time with these :P

I know about innoculations, eg cow pox keeping out small pox. What about if I have a common cold- would that protect me from measles, mumps or rickets? If one illness is acting in a body, will it keep others out?

i have three best friends and 2 of them are twins. the twins are the nicest people u will ever meet but the other one is nice too when u are alone with her but when i go somewhere with her she acts like i am invisible and she is always being mean to me. i think she is trying to act cool in front of our friends and she always bosses me around and treats me like a peice of crap. one of the twins boyfriend is the most popular boy an the mean friend just broke up with hers and it is obvious that she likes the twins boyfriend and is trying to take him away from her. we all used to be best friends but now all three of us dont like her because she is mean to us.today one of her friends came over to her house and i asked to play with them and she went and asked her friend and she said she would call me right back and its been a few hours and she hasnt called back.i slept over at the twins house last night and i found out that they didnt like her either and im just looking for revenge on her

I have these old coins and I was just wondering if they're worth any money. The 1889 dollar is the one I'm most interested in, it's not in bad shape. The 1922 one is pretty cool. The lady has flowing hair and a tiara on. Across the bottom it says IN GOD WE TRVST. One says 1776-1976 on the bottom with some dudes head on it, with in god we trust beside it. On the back there's the liberty bell and a moon in the background, E Pluribus Unum to the side and underneath the bell the letters DRW. Can any one help me?

I'm 19 years old, second year student in university.
I've never have a girlfriend. Nor am I seeing myself with one anytime in the future.

I'm confident, I look okay, I'm an A+ student, and I'm usually nice and have a good personality. I have good friends, and I'm not shy at all. I have female friends as well.

WTH is wrong with me?! I seem to never be able to attract a girl, I always get friended. In fact, in the past two semesters I've been rejected by 5 girls, it's not like I don't ask girls out.

So after 2 years of really thinking about it, and remaining "friends" with the girls who rejected me, I started asking 'Please tell me what's wrong with me, because I can't figure it out'. And I always get the same reply: that there is NOTHING wrong with me and I just haven't met the right person/been unlucky.

I don't show I'm depressed/desperate outside. In fact, I'm pretty normal and I and the girls I hang out with have a good time laughing.

Help? What can I do?

I am looking for a new car. I just paid of my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipes but I have this thing about impluse shopping. I saw the Mitsi, test drove it and signed papers the same day. I love that car but now that I am older, I am looking more for a usable car. I was looking at SUV's and as we now, gas prices are outragous and the hybrid is out of my budget. Anyone have pros and/or cons regarding the Rabbit?
