I would agree that if fun with your friends and 'been dancing for 12 years' are all that's there to go on, Dancing Queen by ABBA is a great, safe choice. The lyrics are halfway between trampy and flirty, so, know that you're bringing that into this. :)
If you want to give the presentation some oomph at the beginning, hunt down the soundtrack to the movie "Muriel's Wedding". There's a incredibly orchestral version of the song that would be an epic way of ushering in the '70's disco beat of ABBA.
Suggestion: if your mother danced, too, and has pictures, you might look to see if you can find a picture with roughly the same pose of you today and her in her youth.
When you get to the song itself, anytime the words "see that girl..." come up in the chorus, makes sure the picture either is solo you, or centered on you to the point of pushing others out of the image.
