I'm a Catholic and get regularly accused of not knowing scripture because of one or more of the following,

1) I don't read it at home.
2) I don't have a KJV only version.
3) I don't carry a bible to Mass with me.

With regards to the first and second, I actually do read the bible at home and infact have not one bible but several including a KJV version.

On the third point how many of you read an entire bible cover to cover in an hour? I'm sure no one does and yet you critize Catholics for trusting in their pastor and lectors to read out loud the scriptures to the people. Funny enough I've asked in one of my other questions why some Protestants have a love affair with everything of Jewish origin and yet shun early Christian practise. This practise of being read to that Catholics imbrace is actually a Jewish one so why the issue with it?

I've often heard that some Protestants like to be seen with dog-ear bibles is this true? If so wouldn't this be similar to the Pharisees

Nonchristians, when is the last time a Christian has given you their coat? Not an extra coat, but the one they were currently wearing.

Atheists, when is the last time you have insulted a Christian and he/she has said hit me again I can take it?

This simply cannot and will not happen. Was Jesus high or something? This whole cheek turning thing is probably what got him killed. Shouldn't you just ignore this little passage and instead deal out counter insults to the atheists? Eye for an eye is so much more fun.

Does anyone remember the anti-drug commercial from the 70's where a drug pusher goes onto a playground and says "gather round kiddies, the candyman is here." After he tries to give the kids pills, one of the kids says something like " hey, you shouldn't take drugs. It can cause liver damage!" I've tried to find a video of it on-line but with no success.

When accessing, using my office computer, it always says the server is down. At first I thought I was just catching the web site during periods of site upgradings, but I soon found that it never links to this website. Is there some setting I should change on my office computer?

I live with my ex gf and since we split i have not been around much while things calmed down, now i have come back i feel ok but am confused by the way she is acting.

I cooked dinner and left 1 plate on the side i said i would clean up after tv. she then proceeded to go on about how washin wasnt an issue before and how everyone else does theirs. i told her i would do it later but she went on and on. (not in a nasty way but half smerking but said she was serious.)

She then told me to turn the tv prog over cos everyone wanted to watch her prog too so i did and she spent the hour cooking andmade me turn it over for no reason. she used to get her own way when we were together but she still seems to try and get it now.

i know this is very petty but im wondering if there may be an underlying reason she would be acting this way. i mean i dont wanna argue with people but its frustrating.
i asked this just now but she moans about me being in my room too!?
help!?

and now the damn car is acting weird. I get in gear and I'm pressing gas, car is barely moving rpm's is movin up though I never push the gas hard enough to get past 3(rpm). what could this be.
