The other day I was at a major department store. It was evening so it was almost empty. I approached the checkout counter with my few items. The lady at the counter asked if I wanted to sign up for a charge card. I politely said no, I was paying using my check card. This is where the trouble began. For about at the very least 5 minutes, probably more she went on and on trying to convince me to get a card. After about 4 or 5 seperate times of me saying no thanks and her probaing why I didn't want a card I was a little more than frustrated and was about to just tell her to forget the entire purchase when a couple walked up behind me in line so she quickly rang me up and moved on. So my question is was this harrassment or just persistence. I know they probably have to get people to sign up for a card but you would think after 5 times of saying no thanks that they should let you be right???
