With your height and weight you should either gain a couple more pounds but PLEASE don't loose anymore or we will loose you

Dear, I'm going to tell you something and I want you to believe me. It's a scientific fact, not my imagination.

I went to an online BMI calculator. That's the easiest way to calculate if your weight is healthy or not. Since I am trying to lose weight myself (5'3 and 150 lbs, was 206) I knew when I saw your height and weight that you were

drum rolll.......

underweight

your bmi is 17.2. any BMI under 18.5 is considered underweight. Also since three anorexic models died last year (from anorexia) ARMANI has set a MINIMUM BMI of 18 for all models in his shows.

Now I don't know your mental condition so I'm not saying you're anorexic or anything.. but the fact IS that you are UNDERWEIGHT (almost dangerously so) and you should NOT be thinking about losing more. That is if you are 5'7" and 110 lbs. If I read something wrong or you hit a typo, then forgive my ranting.

Eat a healthy diet and get moderate (I reccomend 30 min a day for someone like you who does NOT need to lose weight) exercise, and you won't get fat. But it wouldn't hurt you to gain 20.

Just for your information, at 5'7" the LOWEST weight you could be to NOT be clinically underweight would be 117.

you seem to really think you are fat. That means you could have anorexia nervosa. Please talk to someone about it. If the disease progresses, it DOES kill. Discuss your weight and desire to lose with a doctor. Whatever he says, commit yourself to going by it, even if he says you need to gain 6 or 7 lbs. If you really did need to lose, he'd be the best one to tell you how. Maybe he can convince you that you ARE underweight. Not TOO bad, but if you are convinced you are fat then you may have a problem.

The best way to lose weight is to add some weight lifting or resistance exercises at least 3 times a week into your fitness program. Muscles are a living tissue. They need and burn energy throughout the day even when you are sleeping. The more toned your muscles become the more energy they'll have to consume every day which will make you thinner.

In other words resistance exercises will help you look better/fitter and also make losing fat a lot easier.

That is more than enough. Personally, at 110 lbs. and 5'7", I think sticking with the exercise and eating healthy is great, and a good life style for anyone, but that already seems a little thin? Everyone has personal tastes I know, but please be careful and realize that being too thin can be just as unhealthy as too chubby. Just remember, your body needs to hang onto a certain amount of calories in a day just to maintain it's day to day functions (breathing, for one), don't rob your body of what it needs! (Not that you don't already know that). I need to add this, I just read your add on about the "I'm actually a little over weight". I apologize, but I truly do think you need to speak to someone. Please don't take this wrong, but I think you have a problem. What you are seeing in the mirror is not real, you are robbing your body of it's health. You will become an old women very quickly if you don't do something about your problem.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Why on earth do you want to lose weight when you only weigh in at 110 and 5'7". If you get any lower you will not be in a healthy range for your BMI.

A good rule of thumb for what a woman should weigh:
5' tall: 100 pounds. For every inch, add five pounds. Therefore, you should weigh 135 lbs. Did you mean 210 in your question?

It sounds like you don't need to lose weight, 5'7" 110 is pretty skinny. Why not add a few pounds of lean attractive muscle? Much more sexy than skin and bones.
