If there is a will then it does not go to probate, probate is when there is no will. You may want to contact the attorney who is handling the will or the executor of the will about getting a copy.

Usually the attorney who is probating the will has a copy, call the attorney who is representing the estate. If the court has a copy of the will they will send her/you a copy at your/their cost.

I just called our court and they said they would send the copy to the person requesting it. However, the only way a court would have a copy is through probate and an attorney has to file the probate they dont keep a copy of a will until it is probated.. It would better you to find the attorney who did the will and see if they have filed it.

Contact a lawyer in your area to get a copy of the will for you. No, you do not have to go in person to get it. YES IT DOES HAVE TO GO THROUGH PROBATE. Having a will just makes the process much faster.
