I recently found a painted turtle in my pool in my backyard. We called a guy that we know personally from the Humane Society and he said that we should probably let it go but it will most likely die. so we decided to keep him and he said thats alright too. So, he's about the size of a quarter and he is ah-dorable....i assume he is a baby and the guy said that he probably was laid by his mother and traveled to the wrong spot because we have a pond at the bottom of our neighborhood in a culdisac. so anyways, we have had him for 3 days now and we got him a mini tank (traveling tank) for the time being. we bought him some turtle pellets but he hasnt eaten as far as we know. he hasnt eaten the lettuce we put out either. so all i need is a list of what to get him and a quick description. long answers are appreciated just as much though. especially...do i need a heat lamp or a water heater for him and how can i keep him warm until i get either of the two??

I'll be volunteering in an orphanage in Kenya in about 3 weeks from now and I need ideas for what to bring out for the people that run the orphanage and the kids themselves.

So far I have stationary, footballs, sweets but I can't think of anything else.

ok lets say a MOON-sized asteriod or comet or something came / toward earth ,but it missed it ,and got captured by
earths gravity and and started orbiting earth


*the moon rotates earth in a orbit like saturns ring ,well lets say the rock took a orbit like uranus ring

so wat will happen 2 earth

I live in Texas. I am graduating at the end of this month a year early. Many sources say my parents can haul me home but many others say that they can't. I know that I could file for emancipation but I'm really not looking to throw arrows and hurt my father's reputation- I just can't deal with the constant berating and drinking and yelling. However, I don't think he would want me to move out, due to control issue. If I have a place to stay, can pay rent, am safe, and have a highschool diploma can he really force me back home?

For the record, I am aware that life in the real world isn't easy. I love my mother and would stay here for her but the good doesn't outweight the bad anymore. I know she would be on my side, it's my dad I'm worried about.

Any input on if I could get into legal trouble or get anyone else into trouble by living with them or anything like that.. anything you know would be great. Thanks!

okay so I am quoting this, " the filament resistance increases as the bulb gets hotter.".. I have found the resistance using the slope formula. when it was cool i calculated 36.25 ohms
when is was hot i got 25 ohms. my calculations seem wrong unless....the smaller number means more resistance.

I am a 14 year old boy and I became a vegan two weeks ago. When I first told my parents they were like "NO!!!" and my mom started crying. They said that it's not normal and I must have a problem and I need to see the doctor. Then next day they finally took me to the grocery store because I refused to eat anything that came from an animal. My mom still cried and they thought I was crazy. Its been two weeks and now they are upset again and saying I have to eat "normally" and eat what the rest of my family eats. I don't know what to do and I'm really upset. I became a vegan to help not to hurt and make my family upset!
