"Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God" (Isaiah 50:10).
i'm not really catholic or christian. i'm confused about religion really, but no matter what i do this passage always makes me cry. does this passage affect anyone else like this?

It sounds as though your heart is tender.
Perhaps God is using this verse to get your attention, drawing you to Himself. I would seriously consider that.

You really don't have to be anything but "A seeker of Truth".
We all come into this World with an empty void.
Only Truth will fill that void.
Although we try to fill it up with alot of other things that don't last, Truth is the Only Thing that will fill it up.
GOD is Truth.
GOD is Light.
GOD is Love.
GOD is Jesus in Human Form, Who made it Possible for HIMSelf to fill us up!
On the Cross and Risen from the Dead.
It is now possible for GOD to live inside of us, filling up that void.
GOD is the Only Thing that will fit.
No, I don't cry when I read that, I do cry when GOD fills my Soul, and breaks down the Hardness that comes in through everyday living on this Earth at this time!
The stuff on this Earth right now, can harden your emotions.
Feels Great when GOD lightens your Burdens!

Jess, I feel bad for some of thoughtless answers you've received. You have a sensitive heart towards God, and that is good, because not everyone does. You are feeling Him drawing you by His love. The tears are proof that you have a soft heart. So go with it. He is calling you-- you are a jewel to Him, and He wants you to leave your old ways behind and walk in the Light. That is how the Holy Spirit works in a person's life. He softens your heart toward God and draws you closer to God. I have had different verse affect me in similar ways. It is precious and awesome to know the love of God.
