I own some land in WV that I would like to sell. The problem is, I have only been the sole owner since Nov 06. How long do I need to wait to substancially reduce capital gains tax when I sell it. Any advice would be totally appreciated; I'm a newbie at this. Thanks!

He has drank all my life. my mom never knew him not drinking. It's a case a day now for the past 5 years or so. He had a routine physical bout 3 years ago and they said he had the beginning signs of pancreatitis and should quit drinking immediately and come back in 6 months to check if the symptoms and signs improved at all. Since then, his drinking has consistently increased and he has avoided the dr at all costs. He is not the same person at all. He doesn't remember long enough to have a conversation. He is getting senile almost at age of 45. He keeps a steady job and makes good money, he misses days and mornings here and there but makes it enough to stay employed with a state job. the second he gets home though he sucks two down like he's waited all day for that. He won't talk about it with anyone, is in denial and drinks and stays by himself in our family's garage all night long and weekends. I want to commit him through the county to an impatient RX program.Is this possible?

It is sad that christian fascists have taken over the republican party and turned it into a big government, socially conservative party.

Where are the small government conservatives who make economic sense?

If Obama or Clinton win they will raise taxes, raise spending and reduce GDP growth.

Just because we don't need or want another Bush doesn't mean we should take Clinton or Obama.

As a Canadian I am interested in which democrat looks most like Reagan. I would hate for the answer to be Romney or Guilliani

I have 6 weeks left till my stock option expires. It is an ishares canadian index option. It flirted with the strike price this afternoon and the last 4 days I know time value is important but with only 6 weeks to go if my option exceeds the strike price (depending on how far) will i still profit because of the increase?

The saying is that the bible is the inspired word of god. If this is true, then everything in it is the word of god, not just parts of it (that would mean that 'parts' of the bible are the inspired word of god, leaving the question of which are and aren't).

If the bible is the inspired word of god, and Mosaic law is part of the bible, then Mosaic law are the words of god. That would mean that they are unchanging, yesterday, today, and forever, right? So where does Jesus get off claiming to be the son of god and changing what is supposed to be unchanging? Did they lie when they said god and his word were unchanging?

me and my brother was like...playing around, right? i left a bit of fudge around my bed, there was like...mm..i dunno, about 2in x 3in fudge laying around...well, my dog jumped up my bed and grabbed it. he ate all of it...we called the vet, the vet told me to make him puke...well, we couldnt. we tried what she told us, but...we couldn't. we took a long sprint and he wouldn't puke. we dont have any chemicals to make him puke either. what should i do? HELP ASAP! :-(

Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places. There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30- to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000, 000.00 (almost 3 BILLION!) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day.

ok, so i ditched a class, and got caught, i made up a lie that i was in a teachers class cuz i got in trouble, he told me that i need a note from the teacher, i told him that i didnt recognize the teacher or staff or whatever, and hes like, ok well try to find her and let her write you a note, or else im going to have to give u OCR :[

Ocr is really bad, and i wont be able to go to a field trip!

i was thinking to write a fake signature, and if he askes imma say ''idk, but i did saw her today in the morning'' i cant put a teachers name, because he might call them to see if it was true.

My friend said it might work, or either he will forget about the note,

what do you guys think?

On april 11 I had an interview that went well. The day after the interview I mailed thank you letters. They said in two weeks they'd start calling. I called them after two weeks and was told that they were backlogged and it'd be another week. Tomorrow is the end of that week. Should I send this email...
