A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park.

As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway.

The next day he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away. He put the beast out and headed home.

Driving back up his driveway, there was the cat!

He kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the cat there.

Hours later the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?"

"Yes," the wife answers, "why do you ask?"

Frustrated, the man answered, "Put that son of a B**ch on the phone, I'm lost and need directions!"

So now this wacky government has agreed to allow Muslims to hold their own law courts. What is happening to this country?
Do you agree they should hold their own courts of law? Why are we falling over our selves to be "nice" to these people. Why don't they get on with it like the rest of the people and abide by our rules, and no I am not racist.

I have this really cute little tree...It's kind of like a miniature palm tree. I have had it for almost two years and it has been healthy and wonderful. Not long ago, there was a lead advisory in the tap water supply and I didn't know for like two weeks and I was watering the tree and I'm not sure if that's what made it sick or not, but now it seems to be dying and the leaves are turning brown and falling off. What can I do to heal the tree and bring it back to life?

Hi Christians! I want you to know I have nothing against you and I respect your right to your religious views. Please remember most atheists are actually very nice people who care about humanity.
My question is, imagine that you had been born before the era of Christ. What religion do you think you might have practiced?

ex. apples were 10 cents before the war. they were 40 cents during the war. or something like that. all information i can get is helpful.

Also, did the amount of food rationed per person in the war differ by age? if it did, some examples?

Also, what would the daily schedule of an american child during WWII be like?

What was a typical school day like?

What did children in america do to help with war effort other than war bonds/ stamps?

If you have personal experience (were a child during the war) what were some of your experiences?

I think I've asked this before but I didn't find a satisfactory answer. I need some basic khaki pants, preferably not cargo, in size 10 tall. I've looked at Old Navy and Target but they don't have my size in what I want. Please help!

A block of mass m is attached to the end of an ideal spring. Due to the weight of the block, the block remains at rest when the spring is stretched a distance from its equilibrium length. The spring has an unknown spring constant k.

1) Suppose that the block gets bumped and undergoes a small vertical displacement. Find the resulting angular frequency w of the block's oscillation about its equilibrium position.
Express the frequency in terms of given quantities and g, the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity.
2) What is the spring constant k? answer is k=mg/h

(paraphrasing, of course)
"This universe/life is amazingly complex or complicated. It must have been designed. The designer was God."

What do you think of this argument? Is is valid? Why or why not?

My husband works for a prominent Fortune 500 Co. and works 50+ hours a week. He is salaried, considered management though no-one works below him, 10-12 hour days, sometimes w/o a lunch break are the norm.
He is the top performer in his dept. and has the Company reviews to prove it.
My husband shrugs and says "they can do whatever they want"
Is this true?
Is this legal?
Does my husband have any recourse, legal or otherwise?
Does he have a future of unfair wages & bloodshot eyes?
