Hello, I am almost 36 weeks with our first and I am a little confused the on the baby wipe issue. I have heard conflicting information on the subject. Some people have told me that you cannot use wipes on a newborn and you have to use just a wet cloth. Others have said wipes are fine. What are some personal thoughts on this. Thank you!!

To old to have a baby?

I am 42 years old and have two daughters age 19 and 17 from a first marriage. I just recently married my high school sweetheart and am very happy. However he is talking about having children or at least one child of our own. I am healthy active woman with no real heath problems but I think we are both to old to be think about having a baby. I also was excited that both my girls were off to college and I could now focus on me and not so much on my children. He really wants one of his own and a part of me wants to give him his wish but it is not really what I want. Heck if I got pregant tonite by the time that kid would be 20 I would be 53. I think we are too old what do you think?

How common is it for a woman to lie to a man about the biological father of her child?

The topic is raised here with alarming frequency, and since I have personal knowledge of one case, I am curious to know how often this situation actually occurs.

I know a woman who was married and got pregnant by man outside of the marriage. She is now divorced, but the ex-husband thinks the baby is his, pays child support and gets his legal visitation. The actual biological father does know he has a child, but keeps his distance so as not to screw up the current child support arrangement (it benefits the biological father , since he’s not the one paying). I do not know whether the biological father gets any visitation (or indeed if he wants any).

I’d like to see any kind of evidence, anecdotal or empirical, to indicate whether this is a growing trend or just the topic of sensational gossip.

"mucous plug" / "bloody show" question. Was this it?

For those of you who are going to be grossed out by this, don't read it!! lol - sorry but I had to go into details...

A few days ago I had a show of stringy white mucous but no blood, I thought this was my mucous plug, BUT...

Just a few minutes ago I had quite a lot of stringy brown discharge (the same colour as at the end of a period) with a mucousy substance - was this the real show?? Or should I be worried?

My mum told me hers was clear mucous with some blood in it, this was very brown. It seems to have stopped now though...

I'm 38+2 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. I never lost my plug with my first, so I'm unsure what it's like... I walked a lot today as I've been having contractions and I'm 2 cms dilated, I thought it might help bring on labour. Could this have caused it? Or could it be something serious??

How much money would a dealer try to get me to spend if I did this?

I walked in with a smile on my face and I was prancling around with joy telling them I just won $200,000 in a contest and I showed them all of my 20 bundles of 100 dollar bills in my tot bag and I asked them how should I spend, what should I spend it on and how many cars should I buy? Are you scared to answer? Or do you just not know how to give advice? Need advice on how to give advice...??

Why is it almost 100% of the time I ask a question I get one or more people criticizing me for asking that question, or being in this situation, or criticizing my spelling, grammer, punctuation.. whatever.. I'M ASKING FOR ADVICE HERE NOT TO BE TREATED LIKE A CHILD OR AN IDIOT!! I'M NOT ASKING FOR PERSONAL BELITTLEMENT BY THE AVERAGE PERSON WHO IS MISRIBLE WITH HIS/HER LIFE AND THE ONLY WAY OF MAKING THEMSELF FEEL BETTER IS BY PLACING JUDEMENT ON ME... I am not asking for your judgement! I really dont care what you think of me!! Just for once I would like some advice instead of someone trying to put me down for living my life the way I live it.. If you dont know how to give advice..here's some advice.. Put your own opinions aside and put youself in that persons shoes think what it must be like to be them then think what would I do if I was them?..I also noticed when I do get advice its filled with so much negitivity!
