I live in N.H. where there was a lot of flooding. Our basement keeps letting water in. We keep wet vacing it, but the water keeps coming in. We have tried everything. I need some sort of answer of how to get the water to slow down or stop coming in as fast. How can I do this? Please help!!!1

A question was asked about where to start off at when reading the Bible for the first time. Some stated John, and others stated Matthew, while others stated Acts.

Why would you have someone start at the second half of the Bible, when you would need the first half to understand it?

I am in the process of splitting up with my husband, its not something I wanted to do, but felt I had no choice. When I told him I was walking away from our marraige, he huffed and puffed a little bit, but that was it, he accepted it.

Im Totally devestated. I really love him, and if only he would fight for our marraige we could get through it, but his lack of feelings is one of the resons I am leaving.

Is there anyone out there who can relate to what im going through? Does he really not care? In the early days he always said he would be devestated if we split up and there would never be anyone else for him, that he would fight to get me back. I just wanted him to show he cared

Recently a family member passed away. There seems to be a dispute that fortunately I am not involved in, however I am curious to know who is legally entitled to the home. The person who passed away owned the home prior to a 7 year marriage to the widow. The deceased has no will. In California, who is entitled to the home? The Widow who was married to the person for seven years, or the children of the deceased from a previous marriage?

Any ideas on whats the best way to store onions, I've got more then I need for the next few days and would like to keep them fresh for as long as possible.

I could keep them in a dark cubouard, keep them on the worktop under sunlight, or put them in the fridge, but what would be best?

for people whom don't want to do anything to appeal to people that actually have a good system of ethics to take action? It just seems like that's where it comes from, or to me "always be honest and do the right things" seems never to be followed by most people in power.
My conscience has gotten me in sticky situations just because I was trying to be nice to someone. Like staying after work to finish something and missing a romantic evening with someone I love, as a prime example.

So, yeah, why should I "always let my conscience be my guide" if it just gets me trampled on?

I want more romantic evenings.
My new phrase is now "Nice guys finish last."
