I live in N.H. where there was a lot of flooding. Our basement keeps letting water in. We keep wet vacing it, but the water keeps coming in. We have tried everything. I need some sort of answer of how to get the water to slow down or stop coming in as fast. How can I do this? Please help!!!1

For now, you're going to have to "ride it out" until the majority of the water subsides. Once it slows down, do a thorough inspection of the interior & exterior of your foundation looking for voids tha may let water infiltrate.
Patch any voids from both sides of the foundation using hydraulc cement, & coat them with Drylock concrete sealer. Both items are available at your local hardware store or home improvement center.
The next main thing I suggest doing to prevent this in the future is to install, or have installed a sump pump in the basement.
This will help to prevent water infiltration from inflicting serious damage to your basement.
Hop this helped, good luck!!

Sounds like it is time to have a sump pump installed. Pipe the output away from the house to keep it from seeping back in. Also get some waterproofing sealer for the basement walls. You can also get some plastic tubing that will fit on your downspouts and then you can also direct the water flow away from the house. good luck

first find the source of the water.. is it rain water? if so.. there are several things you can do....

1. if the rain water is running toward your home you want to re-direct the water away or around the house.. you can do this with some pipe that is sold at home depot or lowel home improvement stores.. you want the pipe that have little holes cut in it... the holes will be all over the entire pipe...if you go to home depot and tell them what you are doing they will get the pipe for you...( you also need the cloth sleeve they sell)

2. dig a ditch around your home.. in a U shape ( this is for the pipe to rest in... i suggest you go to the frost level in your state) put some sand or pea gravel in the bottom of the hole.. put the pipe in the hole.. cover /or put the pipe in the cloth you bought with the pipe and then back fill the ditch with dirt...this ditch should be 4 to 6 feet from the home..

3. this next part is a pain in the back side.. but worth the effort..

first.. if you have cement block. you'll want to make sure the blocks are empty and not full of water... I suggest getting a cement drill bit and drilling a small hole in the bottom of the blocks to drain the water out... also put some fans in the basement 4 or 5 of them to dry out the basement.. you might also consider bleeching down the blocks, floor to kill mold and the smell from the flood...
once you are sure the blocks are dry.. 2 or 3 days...
go outside and dig up the ground on the side facing the way the rain water is hitting your house...( this will be done on all sides of your house by the way..) but 1 side at a time... dig next to the house down to the foundation... clean the blocks off with a wire brush...Paint the blocks with a tar base sealer you can get from home depot.. and some then place tyvek on top of that.. this will seal the blocks from the outside... once this is done on one side... back fill the ditch to about 4 feet or frost level..put some more gravel in the ditch next to the wall...put another one of the black plastic pipes with holes in it in and the cloth sleeve in the ditch and cover it with dirt...

repeat for each side untill you have done all 4 sides... hook all the pipes near the house together as you go and then connect them to a pipe leading away from the home...

once this is done. a lot of the rain water will be lead away from the home by the first set of pipes anything else that gets to the home will also be lead away by the pipe... so no standing water will be left...

the tar you painted on the blocks on the outside will also protect the home from any more water damage...

you may also consider sealing the blocks on the inside with a clear coat sealer....

first you can have a channel cut out into your cement floor going around the whole basement the install a sump pump hole and pump.next have some one or your self have frence drains put in around the house this will direct alot of rain water that seeps into the ground and sinks down to your basement.after you do this caot your basement walls with a sealer.paint it on.this is about the only way you can stop this or Move.but that will be hard No one wants a wet basement.do this and you will be dry

Rent a sump pump, if available, at most tool rentals. No installation needed.
The problem is "where will you pump it to?"
You can only hope to pump out the water as it flows in, until the flood level has receded.

Been thru lots of floods.
