would you care if plastic bags were banned? why not use reusable cotton all the time?

i always use the same 3 cotton bags everytime i go to the grocery store. why have plastic bags anymore? pros and cons of both?

Does it really matter if/when US enemies in Iraq know when US troops would/will be withdrawing?

Would the insurgents all of sudden come out of hiding & start attacking heavily armed & guarded US troops leaving Iraq or might they be too busy getting slaughtered by the vast majority Iraqi Shiites who having been held back by Bush/US military for 4 years can finally do what they've wanted to do ever since Saddam fell & that's wipe out every Sunni insurgent/Al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq?

visual basic .net text file parsing?

Hi guys I am making a program that reads a textfile using a stream reader line by line

each line of the text file is populated with 100 characters
now say I only wanted character(50) from that whole string of letters.

Does anyone know how I can do this

What is the probability of picking at least two blue marbles?

A bag contains five red marbles and six blue marbles. A sample of three marbles is selected.

I am looking more for how to do this than the actual answer. I am using combinations. I know how to do at least one blue marble, 1-5 choose 3/11 choose 3. But I can't figure out how to do it with at least two.

Were the Clinton's, Bill and Hilary potheads in their early political careers?

Just curious, I went home with a friend from college once who had a framed picture of them looking a little hazy eyed. It would be cool to see the picture again...They looked fairly young. I asked him is his family was big supporters of them, but he just laughed it off and said that his mom "just likes potheads." Is there any evidence out there?

Why women worry?

I have this issue were the place I was last employed I was a security guard. The employees inside of the factory needed a way to contact me in case of an emergency so I gave them my cell number considering I would be outside and only entered the building once and hour. Now I have this wife from one of the men who had my phone number, accussing me of sleeping with her husband. Which I never have and never will. But the way she contacted me is funny because with her having my phone number she felt the need to contact me on Myspace. THe accussations she is claiming are all false and I would never cheat on my husband. So why contact me on Myspace instead of calling me like a grown woman with accussations may do? Any suggestions on how to deal with this and why she may have contacted me this way?

Should I STAY or DIVORCE????

My husband and I are both almost at 30. We've been together for 6 years and have a child in elementary school. He goes out with his friends to be out in the "Club Scene" (he calls it "networking" ), go out to drink at his buddy's house, or met up with his Aunt at a bar she is a regular at. He knows I don't approve of the amount of times a week he goes out. Especially coming home at unacceptable hours, but he doesn't take me seriously. On top of all of this I've been carrying the household for 60% of the time that we've been married. How do I get him Grow UP and to take me seriously in the fact that I'm not going to be taken for granted anymore???

Peace... or is it?

Could you keep 6 zebra danios 2 in. and 1 betta in a 16 gallon
tank( which is a Mega Biorb)? Will peace regain or disorder begin? Will the betta eat the danios? Will the danios, becuse of their speed, intimidate the betta, and the betta will hide? If the peace regains, can I just feed the lot a quality tropical flake/pellet and freeze dried daphina or, freeze dried brine shrimp, or freeze dried bloodworms? P.S. Is it okay, after the cycle of a tank, to add danios first, then get the betta and put it in a solitary tank for 2 days, then put it in the community tank?
