A man walks up to the bar with an ostrich behind him, and as he sits, the bartender asks for their order.

The man says, "I'll have a beer" and turns to the ostrich. "What's yours?" "I'll have a beer too" says the ostrich.
The bartender pours the beer and says "That will be $3.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pays with the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again, and the man says "I'll have a beer," and the ostrich says "I'll have the same." Once again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This became a routine until late one evening, the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the bartender."Well, it's close to last call, so I'll have a large Scotch" says the man. "Same for me" says the ostrich. "That will be $7.20" says the bartender. Once again the man pulls exact change out of his pocket and places it on the bar.

The bartender can't hold back his curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change out of your pocket every time?"

"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and I found this old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever needed to pay for anything, I just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money will be there."

"That's brilliant!" says the bartender. "Most people would wish for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!"

"That's right! Whether it's a gallon of milk, or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man.
"That's fantastic!" says the bartender. "You are a genius! ... Oh, one other thing sir, what's with the ostrich?"

The man replies, "Oh, my second wish was for a chick with long legs."

I am in need of information about a sword that my grandfather found in an attic in the 20's. It is about 3 feet long with strange writing on the blade. I have sent pictures to the smithsonian, and also to a place in Russia to see if they could determine the origin of this sword, and possibly identify the language.

Smithsonian felt it was very close to a Kossack sword, stated the handle was made of bone and agreed that there is indeed writing on the blade but had no idea of the origin of the language.

When I received the information back from Russia they said it looked like a Kossack sword but was probably a bit older, they also had no idea what language is inscribed on the blade but agree that it is writing.

Does anyone know of other places I might be able to find this information? The sword was used in battle that is for certain, its very well balanced in the hand and the smithsonian said it appeared to still have bloodlike stains on the steel.

Thanks for reading.

Like a superhero's new technique for criminal investigation or emergency preparedness that worked...?

A self-invented power that could actually be built and marketed...?

A theory of physics that held some correspondence to the way particles really behave...?

Anything like that...? Anything...?

More Americans are standing up in opposition to what this administration has been doing over the past 6 years. For the detractors, please don't link Iraq to September 11th , 2001.
Even Bush admits there is no connection between those events and his war of choice.

I have a friend that constantly needs advice on things and most of her phone calls are about problems she needs help with. Now I don't mind giving her advice or helping her with her problems cause that's what your freinds are for right?? My worry is, she isn't just looking for advice anymore, she wants me to make decisions for her! Her problems aren't just the run of the mill boy problems or hair or make-up problems, they are serious issues like health and other things I have no right commenting on! Last time she called with a issue I told her I wasn't comfortable making a decision on it as it was quite personal and she got really angry and didn't speak to me for days. What is the best way to tell her that I can't keep making her decisions for her without making her REALLY angry??

Alarge woman wearing a sleeveless sundress, walked into a bar. She raised her right arm, revealing a huge hairy armpit. She pointed to all the people sitting at the bar and asked, "What man here will buy a lady a drink ". The bar went silent as the patrons tried to ignore her. But down at the end of the bar an owly-eyed drunk slammed his hand down on the counter and bellowed, "Give the ballerina a drink"
The bartender poured the drink and the woman chugged it down. She turned to the patrons and again pointed around at all of them, revealing the same hairy armpit, and asked, "What man here will buy a lady a drink?" Once again the same little drunk slapped his money down on the bar and said "give the ballerina another drink".
the bartender approached the little drunk and said "I say old chap, its your business if you want to buy the lady a drink, but why do you keep calling her ballerina?"
The drunk replied "Any woman who can lift her leg that high has to be a ballerina!"
