1. intellectual debate (even dissent) is important as a principle. No, really. I mean it. And without name-calling.
2. Everything should start with freedom (think Libertarian/Anarchist) We only change that with a good reason, usually moral.
3. Social issues are NOT THAT IMPORTANT. We can work for common goals around them (promote adoption, safe sex instead of banning abortion.)
4. Free markets good, not always morally acceptable. Live with a mixed economy, just not stagnant.
5. Promote democracy and freedom culturally, launch a real PR campaign around the world.
OK what else? something about the balance between multiculturalism and unity, the environment, then we should be able to win every election for the next 100 years or so. Oh and we need a name.
