1) len is planning a three hour trip own the Allemen River and back to his starting point. He knows that he can paddle in still water at 3 miles per hour and that the rate of the current is 2 mph. how much time can he spend going downstream? how far downstream can he travel?

2)a motorboat has a four hour supply of gasoline. how far from the marina can it travel if the rate going out against the current is 20 mph and the rate coming back with the current is 30 mph?

3)an airplane whose speed in still air is 760 kmp can travel 2000 km with the wind in the same amount of time that it takes to fly 1800 km against the wind. What is the speed of the wind?

i really don't get how to do these. can someone solve and explain please?

How do i speed the healing of a burn(-ish) scab(-ish) scar on my face?

i use tea ttree oil to treat a pimple but i left it on (w/ a guaze & band-aid) for about 5 or 6 hrs when i toook the band-aid off i was shocked to find darkened skin beneath. the tea tree oil has left behaing a scabish burnish lokking thing & i want to heal it ASAP. Any suggestions ideas?? HELP!!!!

graphic card help?

i just bought battefield 2 the complete collection and when i start it up it plays the intro and then when you reach the page were you selcet your name my computer screen blink a couple of times than it say my graphic driver has stoped and it resets my desktop.i have a ati radeon 256mb graphic card and i don`t know what to do i spent 40$ on this game and i need help fast.

What is with cops and speeders?

Does anybody have a greater defense for law enforcement who wait in an alley with their lights off for people to go 10 miles over the speed limit so they can take their money in the name of justice than simply mocking people who say "don't they have anything better to do?" How about actually answering the question (do they have anything better to do?)

both cheated and have decided to try one last time to make it work?

we have been married for five years and have been together for about 11. we had some differences in the past which caused both of us to go astray. now that thing s have calmed down a little bit we decided to give it one last try. it's been 6 months now and we both have been 100 % faithful but now I am having second thoughts about staying in this relationship. i dont want to seek the attention of anybody else but I am still unhappy. even though i can forgive what she done I don't think I want to continue to pursue this marriage. I know I still love her but I want to be by myself. We have three children and I plan on taking care of them one way or another. what do you guys think I should do?

nature vs. nurture of homosexuality what do you think?

I’m a high school student and I have been looking for good info to use in a debate in my psychology class I have been assigned to be on the nurture side but all I can come up with is sexual preference and I know that that is not going to be good enough. Me and my boyfriend have been broken up for about 3 days, and i just found out yesterday from a friend of mine that my "best friend" told her that he would come over to her house after he left mine and they would do stuff, like kissing and other disturbing stuff. She told me that my friend said that it's been happening for about a month while we were going out. she wasn't suppose to tell me this and she told me not to tell her, and to act like i don't know wut happened, but i can't it'll be way too hard to try and be her friend when she done that to me. wut do you think? oh, and by the way she has boyfriend she cheated on, with my ex, should i tell him?

For women (and men if they wont to)?

Do you think it's true that we don't make sense. Example:

-When we say we like honesty and when the guys are honest, we get mad.

-When we ask guys questions and if they tell the truth, we get mad, and if we lie, we get mad.
Ex. when a girl ask a guy "does this make me look fat", either way we get mad.

-When a women wants a man to be something else, and won't agree with it, we get mad.

I don't do these things but I tend to notice these things and when a women is being these examples, I say "what is wrong with them!!"

I'm I the only female that thinks this way and guys, what is your opinion on it?
