You can go to family friendly shows like the Broadway ones, there is a really cool arcade next to the MGM called GameWorks, there is a place called Circus Circus Adventuredome which has things from bumper cars to a thing called the sling shot which shoots you towards the ceiling at 4-G's. You guys could go to the Imax for a movie, you could visit the Hoover Dam, there are museums etc. A ton of stuff to have fun with.

Check out the arcade at the Luxor. They also have an Imax theatre and some fun virtual-reality type ride-film attractions. http://www.luxor.com/attractions/attractions_atrium.aspx
I like the Mandalay Bay shark reef (costs $16 for adults, $11 for kids)
http://www.mandalaybay.com/entertainment/sharkreef.aspx
I do recommend the Hoover Dam tour you mentioned in your other question.
Do a tour of the roller coasters:
There's one at New York New York (they don't post the rate on their website, but there's a phone number at the bottom of this page if you want to call: http://www.nynycasino.com/entertainment/entertainment_therollercoaster.aspx ), there's one at the Sahara ($10 one ride or $21.95 for an all-day pass, http://www.saharavegas.com/NASCAR/SPEED-facts/ ), and another on top of the Stratosphere, as well as a couple other thrill rides and an observation deck up there. http://www.stratospherehotel.com/stratosphere_tower.html
You might also enjoy a trip to the Hard Rock Hotel Casino to look at the memorabilia (free).
Check out the volcano in front of the Mirage (free) and the water show in front of the Bellagio (also free).
If you like Star Trek, head over to the LV Hilton for the Star Trek Experience. It's pricey, but it's really cool. http://www.lvhilton.com/entertainment/startrek.shtml
In regards to your other question, here's a link to the Secret Garden info (Seigfried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage). Silly me, I thought you were talking about the show. http://www.mirage.com/attractions/attractions_dolphins.aspx
But I do still recommend the Dirk Arthur show at the Tropicana. You also might want to check out the Titanic exhibit while you're there: http://www.tropicanalv.com/ent_titanic.asp (costs $22).
Another free good time is an evening at Fremont Street downtown. They have a four-block long video canopy overhead that is pretty impressive, and depending on the day, they also have bands playing. This is also a great place to do any souvenir shopping, by far the cheapest mugs, t-shirts, etc. Yet another link: http://www.goldennugget.com/home/entertainment_attractions/fremont_street_experience/
Hopefully that's enough to get you started. Have fun and play safe!

I live in Vegas and there are plenty of things his kids can do.
But there are some of inappropriate stuff around Vegas in Downtown but if it feels like it is okay for his son, go right ahead/ Downtown is a great place since there are MANY attractions.
There is also Circus Circus [A casino but has adventure dome (consists of rides) and game area where you can win prizes and there small circus acts every 30 minutes], Mini Grand Prix, and so forth.
Very fun place =]

At Circus, Circus they have an amusement park. At New York, New York there is a rollercoaster on top of the hotel. There's another rollercoaster on top of the Stratosphere. There is also M 'n' M & CocaCola factories across from New York, New York, which are pretty cool. At the Mirage there are the white tigers, the aquarium & the dolphins. At Excalibur there is a really cool dinner show, Tournament of Kings. For free outdoor entertainment there is the pirate show at Treasure Island, Fountains at Bellagio & Volcano at The Mirage. I recommend you see them at night.

There is a water park on the main strip. You can tour the Hoover Dam. You can take helicopter or small plane tours. There is a one day horse riding tour that a Native American tribe runs. You spend part of the day with a guide and then have a "campfire" supper outdoors. My brother-in-law took his grandchildren on this one and they loved it. You can look up most of these activities online for information.

There are lots of people who would make fun of the prospect of altering their fates. This is due to the fact that it believes that nobody gets more that exactly what is put in his fate.
