Yeah, Titanic. We all know the story, but I really would love a movie about what Rose was up to after she dried out, before she got old. Anyone else? I know it would be a "Fried Green Tomatoes" style movie, but I'd go see it.

I think it's an excellent ideal for a movie. It doesn't even have to end when she's old. You could end it earlier. Sure those pictures tell us somewhat what her life was like but not any details. Every picture tells a story, what stories do those pictures tell? In no way would this take away from the movie Titanic. The story would be completely different. You wouldn't even need Kate Winslet. You could use different Actresses to play her at different ages. Start before Titanic, when she's a child, skip Titanic, and take it up from there. :-)
Note To 'rockerofjazz': We DON'T know that she had a daughter. All we know is she had a 'grand-daughter' who could've been the daughter of Rose's son ;-) And his name could even be Jack :-)
This is becoming a better ideal the more I think about it, 'dittersdoodles'. If I can't get it out of my head, I may have to write a script for this if it wouldn't offend you. Great movie concept! :-)

Yes but in the end of the movie they show all the pictures on the desk of what she had done in her life. Though I understand where you are comming from. Maybe a movie about her life would be fun like does she fall in love again does she marry does she have children what does she do for a living so on and so forth. So I guess in the end it might be a really good movie. Titanic came out a while ago now ....but maybe it is just long enough to have come out. I like your idea!!!!!!!!!

that is one of the beauties of the movie Titanic. That the fact that they spare the details of her life after jack but at the same time dont leave you clueless about it, gives the movie that bittersweet feeling and it would be gone if they were to make a movie about her life in details. i like it how things were left. and you know they did a good job with this movie cus here you are wondering about what life would have been like for Rose. :)

I wouldn't. A movie just about Rose would take away the main purpose of Titanic. People would think the Titanic was just about Rose, instead of Rose and Jack. We know that she gets married and has a daughter, but do we really need to know more?

Good idea, but it's been a while since Titanic was released I dont think it would sell... at least not w/ Kate Winslet in the flashbacks. So, I would prob not go see it.

i wouldnt mainly because nothing exciting would happen in her life after that. the most exciting part of the movie would be her riding a horse and then marrying some guy

ya but in the end it kinda explains the whole story...by the pictures she has framed next to her bed. She learned how to ride horses ...she had kids blah blah blah...but i see what your saying...like how she met her babys daddy!!...id see it too...and hey fried green tomatoes aint that bad!
