I am usually the first one to forgive and forget. However, if you're really messing with me, then is when I have my fun. And make sure the person knows it is me! A few years ago, some so called friends started pulling some major crap thinking we wouldn't know it was them. I simply made a phone call to INFORM the cable company they were illegally stealing their service. It was the only time I have ever done that, and hopefully the last also. The people were promptly disconnected and their illegal cable box was confiscated. I was so happy to let them know that I was the one who nailed them. They never bothered us again. I don't get even, I GET AHEAD!!!

It used to hard to forgive and forget when I was younger but I have mellowed out through the years and now know that all of that is not so important anymore. There is just not any reason to let it cause me to be upset and cause me to have such tied up knots inside and worry and madness, etc. inside. I've learned to let it all go and to get on with my life because I now know it is better for me and it JUST ISN'T WORTH IT!

It really depends on how serious I have been wronged.

If it's a minor misdemeanor, I'd probably forgive & forget in a heartbeat.

But if someone almost or totally destroys everything I loved & worked for, I would be out for their blood or their head on a stick, whatever comes first.

No chance for forgiveness in the latter case...

... ever!!!

Depends. A friend of mine sold out a bunch of our mutual friends - that was two years ago and he's only just gotten off the kill list. Betrayal is just one of those things I don't take to. But if you've personally hurt me in some way, well, I get over that stuff quickly. Holding little grudges just slow you down.

The old adage "forgive and forget" is utter bulldung!

I will possibly forgive the person after a cool-off period of at least 24 hours, but, babe, I'll never forget!

My whole heart is like a black book full of names who've offended or hurt me!

I forgive and forget so easy. It's like ridiculous. But when it gets really bad with someone then I just stop being friends with them, and then later I forget why I stopped being friends. lol

Life is so much easier if you make it simpler.

I don't keep grudges so much even though there's now 5 people in the world that I really hate. (it was upped by one person about 6 months ago). I don't do much with that, it's just my mental list to avoid them if I can.

I don't hold a grudge - but I do tend to hold on to the hurt... So I guess I don't forgive & forget either... Hmmm....

It depends on what the grudge is about and how long you've been friends.

Let the small stuff slide, I say. I've found that the longer you've been friends the harder this is.
