It will work just the same as it would even if you weren't ovulating, but this doesn't mean that you absolutely aren't pregnant, as there is a failure rate. If you took it within 72 hours (which you said you did), you've probably got nothing to worry about. Try not to stress and take a pregnancy test if your period is late.

Plan B® is easy to take—there are only 2 tablets

Take the first tablet as soon as possible within 3 days (72 hours) after unprotected sex.

Take the second tablet 12 hours after you take the first tablet.
That’s it. When you take Plan B® as directed, you reduce your risk for pregnancy by up to 89%. And the sooner you take it, the more effective it is.

Some women may have their period earlier or later than their normal cycle. If your menstrual cycle is delayed more than one week, you may be pregnant.

Do you have a plan C? Good luck, I think you will need it. I think you know as well as I, that if you had ovulated before the 'act', two days later will probably be too late. I am not familiar with the particulars of the morning after pill, so maybe you will luck out this time. If so, I hope you take better precautions next time. Please consider adoption over abortion if your luck did not hold. God bless. Spring is a great time for a wedding.

"Plan B" is about 85-90% effective taken within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. You still need to be concerned about sexually transmitted diseases andn should be tested. Also, if your period is late, you need to be tested to rule out pregnancy.

The best course is to promise yourself never to take this kind of risk again. You should also buy another Plan B pack and have it on hand, because if you have an "accident" it is more effective if taken as soon as possible after sex.

It is 70% effective. Typically if the sperm fertilizes your egg, then it travels down and implants onto your uterus and cells begin to divide and form a baby. If it hasn't implanted Plan B will cause the egg to continue to go dispose if itself as if it normally would and not implant or cells divide.
