to pay in advance? Seems to me poverty is being used to excuse crime..which does require payment from the party involed along with those who pay taxes.

Any thoughts....
I think it has zero to do with poverty.

When materials are recycled, doesn't it cost just as much, and use just as many fossil fuels to recycle the goods as it would to make them from raw material? How is recycling a good thing if that's the case?

The media portrays us blokes as only caring about 1 of 4 things when deciding if we like a girl. Either how big her chest is, how nice her bum is, how long her legs are and how good looking she is, or a combination. While I do love a nice pair of legs and nice bottom on a girl, and I am a brunette lover, i am also a sucker for a pair of nice blue eyes and a great smile (must have good, white teeth). Are there anything individual or unusual that you look for a girl or is it just one of the 4 things mentioned above? And Girls, what do you consider to be your best attribute to be, and what do men compliment you on the most?

We met senior year of college and have been together for over a year. We live in different cities (100 miles apart) and see each other 2-3 times per month.Recently our true differences have been coming out. She is very logical, fact based, plans a lot, needs stuff to make sense. I am "feeling based", trust my gut instinct, happiness-driven, in the moment type of person. At first we seemed to complement each other, but now we have been fighting, especially over issues like money (she nickel and dimes everything and gets mad when she has to remind me to pay her back)(i think it all comes back in the long run) and thinks I am immature with leaving stuff out, toilet seat up, dishes in sink etc.We seem to have a strong bond for us to have stayed together this long, but is it too much of a sacrifice to deal with such different personalities? Am I being unfair to not change some of my ways?What is the best route to take here?Take a break to realize what we truly have? Beginning to be unhappy.

Here me out everyone! I'm one of those nice people that aren't racist to anyone no matter what culture... ahem... had to clear my throat. So here it is, my Black friend called me a ****@. I'm white and I figured okay what's up my ****@, because we're friends and I thought he would be cool with it, but Oh,Noze!, he got pissed off at me and said "You can't say that ****@ to me!!! That's racist!!" I was like "Well, you said it to me... LOL." he was like "Oh, um... well that's different... It's okay if I say it to you because you're White."

I told him to not call me that word If can't say it back to him in a friendly way... The word ******* is racist, but ****@ is a different meaning.

It's weird because I have another Black friend that doesn't mind if I use it to him... he don't care as long as I use the A at the end.

What's your thoughts on this, double standard?

I know that they usually start having the crying/tears reflex by 3 months... yet I can't find anything that says that longer than this is okay or not! She has adequate lubrication in her eyes, so I'm not concerned about that.

My husband just got accepted to an MFA program at Columbia. We are unfamiliar with New York, and the Columbia Area. We have a one-year-old son, and I will be working from home so we would like a "safe" area where he and I won't be scared all day long. as a beginner i would like to know what other's purposes of drinking wine is. and also, and recommendations for a beginner on what kind of wines to try out. i really don't like the sweets/whites. i like the red/dry/not sweet ones. i'm open to all kinds of answers. i was introduced to wine about a month ago and loved it. the person who introduced it to me had me try a cabernet sauvignon (don't remember the maker) and i was in love ever since. he described the taste to me - aged/fermented. for some reason i loved it! and recommendations? i'd like to start off on the cheaper side first! thanks!

I forgot to sign up for our office surprise birthday party, so by the time I remembered, I was the last one... which meant the only item left to sign up for was THE CAKE!

This is a large party - 40 people and now they want me to buy a cake to feed everyone!!! Everyone else is bringing in soda, chips, paper products, cheap dishes, now I have to go buy a $50 cake????

For example, it's important for parents to be there for a child's important events such as school plays and dance recitals but, in THE SIXTH SENSE, the kid's mother works 2 jobs and misses his performances in school plays. She also weeps when he tells her that her mother did see her dance recital.
