Are you beliefs based on conviction from God?
Have you spent time in prayer and study of the scriptures as it relates to your beliefs? Or are you blindly following the dogma taught by your specific religion...maybe what you have been taught to believe since childhood? Or are you blindly following your pastor? I challenge you to open your heart and mind and pray to God for his leadership and conviction...

My beliefs are based on my personal study of scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I left organized religion behind or to be more accurate I would say they left me behind.

I use to follow the mormon religion but I have begun to turn my back on religion, some of the scriptures in the bible are horrible. It has a list of things that we will supposedly burn for such as adultery, homosexuality, etc...

All organized religion is a big brain-wash. Plain and simple.

I actually do believe in God somewhat but I haven't even prayed in a long time.

I was raised Christian, and when I was 18, I completely turned my back on it and got into the occult and nearly every other sin imagineable. It was at the point when my life was completely empty and void of anything. Then I remembered the love of Christ and felt the overwhelming conviction of where I had allowed my life to go. Since then I have walked in that peace and joy ever since. Whenever I start to step out of line with the word, that conviction steps in to guide, correct and lead me back to the right path.

Thats my testimony in a nutshell.

I was called by God and after much calling finally opened my heart to Him. I am of no particular dogma or religion other than Christian and use the Bible and prayer in an attempt to know my Fathers will for my life.

No. They are based on study of evidence. Since there is no evidence of the existence (or non-existence) of god, it is provably useless to suppose any theory of god, and I do not waste my time on useless pursuits. Neither should you.
