In most businesses, increasing prices of products can negatively impact the number of customers. A bus company in a small town has an average number of riders of 800 per day. The bus company charges $2.25 for a ride. They conducted a survey of their customers and found that they will lose approximately 40 customers per day for each $.25 increase in fare.

a) Let the number of riders be a function of the fare charged. Graph the function, identify the graph of the function (line, parabola, hyperbola, or exponential), and find the slope of the graph.

b) The bus company has determined that even if they set the price very low, there is a maximum number of riders permitted each day. If the price is $0 (free), how many riders are permitted each day?

Answer:

c) If the bus company sets the price too high, no one will be willing to ride the bus. Beginning at what ticket price will no one be willing to ride the bus?

Answer:

Show work

Heres the assignment. --Create at least TEN sentences that demonstrate the connection of Shakespeare to the modern world. Shakespeare influenced every generation of writers since his death and still today has some level of impact on contemporary plays, movies, and poems. So this is indeed a very large topic. And yes, he invented many of the most used expressions in our language.

I was going to do how Lion king was similar to one of his plays, and also with the movie She's the Man. Could you think of any other ideas, or perhaps get me started on the paragraph? Thanks

Here is the scenario: A mean and vicious man has been caught by police for ruthlessly killing innocent animals in your neighborhood. Your dog was one of the animals killed. Before sending the killer to prison the judge asks the pet owner victims, (in this case you), if you would like to inflict your own person justice before the killer is sent to prison. You say yes and the judge gives you three choices to use: 1) hit him in the face with a super soaker filled with giraffe spit; 2) drop a balloon filled with phlegm on his head; 3) hit him in the ribs three times with a pair of brass knuckles. What is your choice?
