Are you a morning person?
I'm not. I'm getting a job soon and just thought about having to wake up at 8am!!! I'm soo not a morning person :-( How do you guys do it?

Ok, that sounds a little harsh, but the reality is that more and more Christians are taking their kids out of public schools in an attempt to shield them from both diversity in culture and education curriculum that does not include Creation. Since they have been unsuccessful in getting Creation into public schools, it seems they are starting their own "schools" or opting for home schooling.

Does this frighten anyone else? I think that this is of great detriment to our children and future generations. Creation can be taught at home after school. Christian "values" can be taught at home after school. All the "evil" things kids may learn in school can be washed away at home after school, if necessary. But kids need to be exposed to many cultures and many ideas and develop social skills in order to function in this country. They will encounter these issues once they leave school, so how is sheltering them from them helping anyone?

Throughout the many thousands of years of our species evolution, presumably we wouldn't have frequently encountered & consumed alcohol. Why then have our bodies evolved to be able to extract energy from it? I also read that we can obtain more energy from it per unit weight than sugars.
Are the liver enzymes that metabolise alcohol the same ones which metabolise sucrose/fructose? Is alcohol classed as a carbohydrate like sugar?
(I have never studied chemistry or biology).

Do Americans realize that when we learn of our guys getting killed in Iraq how many Iraq's are getting killed? It seems that I learn of 50, 60 or 70 Iraq bodies being found all the time. How high will that number raise if we leave? 50,60 or 70%? I know our guys are getting killed but won't this be like giving the Irag people a death sentance. Should we not stay and help these people or should we leave and pretend nothing is happening? I want our guys home but just the thought of 2 or 3 million people getting butchered seems a little selfish.

My so-called fiance is also my son's father. I've been with him since May 03. Ever since I've had my son and he started working at his new job, he doesn't seem to be trying to help me. Since the day my son was born (Sept 1 06) he has been taking trips out with his brother/cousin, and no longer helps out around the house, with the baby, or clean up after himself. I have been in the house i.e., not going out with friends, no job, just out for doc appts, since I was PREGNANT! And when I say this to him, he doesn't get it. I even asked him to take the baby with him yesterday when he went to look at a car to buy with his brother and he basically wanted me to dress the baby, get the diaper bag ready, etc., and when I said no, he just left. And then he came back only to leave AGAIN, and I was home with the baby. My question is how can I get him to realize what he's doing is hurting me and stressing me out?
