How do you know (for the ones that believes in it) when He is talking to you?
How can you be sure?
Can you hear his voice?

I've heard God talk to me a few times. Actually say things to me! It's in my head and it is that still small voice. Once I had suicidal tendencies and I heard him say, "but I have great plans for you" Another time I was driving too fast and heard him say, "Slow DOWN!" and if I hadn't I'd been in an awful accident.
Another time I heard him say, "This is for you" It was a gift that I won't go into detail about.
Another time My daughter was very very sick. And I heard him say "She will be alright!" And she was. And you just know when you hear. It's a voice in your head. Or it was with me.
The atheists will make fun of me but I don't really care.

As far as literally hearing a voice, that has ONLY happened ONCE in my 39 years, a whisper in my ear told me ..."Do not turn away from God",,,,,when I was going through some very hard times. Other than that, I believe the Holy Spirit can be felt in your body, the same way you might feel a chill come into your body. Also, I believe that God or the Holy Spirit talks to people in their minds through common sense. Don't you ever wonder why you were able to figure out something or make the correct decision, in hind sight. I can not explain it all here.

I know The Holy Spirit is guiding me, because when I do what is advised by the holy Spirit, I fell joyful and relieved, my decisions are easy. My life is peaceful and controlled.

I do not worry. I can feel His Presence as an encouragement to do or not to do something a certain way. Results are my proof. Blessings are the outcome. (often I turn on the TV to TBN or CBN (Christian Broadcast, ) or Focus on the family, Or Christian Radio 90.5 (etc) and I get the way I am suppose to behave according to God Principles.

My Life is a result of that manifestation of God's HOLY Spirit in my every day actions. In Christianity, following the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is the One who guides a person to correctly interpret the word of God and He helps each person reach new levels of understanding. Since He knows each person perfectly and it is understood that people think differently, He can transfer information to people in ways that they would comprehend it (Acts of the Apostles 2:7). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Eternal God and the unity of the Divine Trinity.

Something it is just changing how I think about something.

I am currently learning to hear the Holy Spirit...it says in the bible..."But the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit, who the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you ALL things and bring ALL things to your rememberance, whatsoever I have said unto you" the Holy Spirit is there with you...I learned that when it says "he will bring those things to rememberance I have told you" I meaning the word of God!...well unless you stay in the bible reading and meditating on the word of God..how can the holy spirit remind you or have a strong connection to you...its like this if a doctor came to you and started talking to you in doctors terms you would have no idea what he was talking about unless you were learning and reading and had the knowledge in you so that when he spoke you would know and be able to discern what he was talking about...same goes tru for the Holy Spirit...I hope this helped somewhat..God Bless..

I don't hear the Holy Spirit talk to me as much as I feel Him. The Holy Spirit comes to give clarity and understanding. You will find that as you study your Bible, the Holy Spirit will point things out to you that you had not noticed before. He is the Spirit of Truth.

The Holy Spirit is always in agreement with the scriptures because God does not contradict Himself. Of this we can be sure.

It is easy to be mistaken about this. We often think we're being guided by the Spirit when we're just being guided by our own wishes. In my own case, I tend to be suspicious if the "Spirit" seems to be pointing me down the easier path that doesn't require me to make any painful changes in my life. Usually, in those cases, I find myself several weeks or months later stagnating in a dead-end and becoming a worse person. When the "nudge" I seem to be getting is pushing me to do something difficult, something that would require me to stretch myself to greater faith or charity, it is really the Spirit at work. When I follow THOSE nudges, I find myself several months later a better or wiser or stronger or kinder person than I had believed I could be.

You can't be absolutely 100 percent sure every time. I still stupidly follow my own voice too often, and fool myself into thinking it's the Spirit. But in general, I've learned to mistrust the easy assignments, and trust the difficult ones.

He speaks the Word of God to you for knowledge and wisdom. He teaches you all things. He comforts and brings peace of mind. In all things He is peaceful and without anxiety. If you feel anxious it is not of the Holy Spirit. You not only hear His voice, but you know His voice.

In my experience, the Holy Spirit doesn't speak to me, but rather confirms or convicts my thoughts or actions with a gentle touch, to let me know if I am doing something against or according to God's will. It is like conscience that is never a burden. Another thing He does is to let me know when evil spirit influences are around, when I am watching TV, on the internet or whatever I am doing. Again, He is gentle, and will remind me to turn away from that which is evil. It is called discernment.

Sometimes when I am in a discussion with someone else who needs spiritual guidance, usually another Christian, he will use my mouth to speak His mind. It's like thoughts that go directly to words without the brain being involved at all. It is cool when that happens, but I can't MAKE it happen.

You can absolutely hear His voice. Sometimes it it the voice inside of you, sometimes it comes from a fellow believer. You can be sure that the Word is from Him because it will bring you peace. When He is talking to me it is usually because I have asked a question and prayed for the answer. He sometimes will give me a sign that He has heard me although the time may not be right for a full answer. I must wait upon His perfect time to receive the complete answer to my prayer

When the Holy Spirit comes to me, I will do things or say things I don't normally say.

When I talk in Tongues he shows me what to say.

Very interesting talking in Tongues, you should try it.
