ok so my car died , the battery and cheak engine light came on tha car works if u jump it or if i changed tha battery but the battery light keeps staying on is this my alternator or something else? I have also replaced all tha grounds

Definately your alternator, it's really a "charge indicator light" not a battery light.

Have the battery load tested. If bad replace.Start the engine and check alternator charge for13.5 to 15.5 volts if correct OK. If not you need to replace the alternator.After those items are corrected,check for low amperage leak to ground by removing the negative battery cable and connecting either a test light orAMPmeter between the battery - and the- post.If you read 2 to 5 amps something is shorting out.

yep, probably alternator
you mentioned replacing all grounds right ? recheck that you didnt conect the pos + to ground by accident, if you did this could make A LOT of problems
if you know how to use a volt meter check individual connections

First guess would definately be alternator. Parts store should check that for free.

sounds like it could be either a short somewhere in your electrical system drawing off power (due to a nick in a wire somewhere) or else your alternator. you can take your altenator to parts shops and they can test it for you...i think even sear's automotive department can do it for you.
