I have never been married (aaaaah didummmmms)

The one thing that puts me off marriage is the way the law is in favour for the women. (UK)
Say I owned my own house and she was in rented accomodation we decided she should move in.
And after four years we decided to get wed.
Three years further down the line we became 'incompatible' so we decided to divorce.
From what I understand even though I set her up in MY house she is then entitled to fifty per cent of the house and its contents?

Also If I have a private pension she is entitled to some of it-when I have grafted to pay into this scheme and she has not paid into the scheme.

(I am not 100% sure about how the law is in these situations)

Can anyone elaborate please

I resently had a hard drive go bad and the technician that repaired my computer erased a program. I have backups of the data, but can't find the software for the program anywhere. Is anyone aware of a way to find software for programs that are no longer available by the programmers company ?

If such a thing exists. I think it’s a bit of a raw deal actually. Some Christians say you choose your own hell in not following god, but why would I want to choose eternal punishment, for being a good person? I also think its wrong to use god for just a ticket into heaven, I imagine a huge percent of Christians say they believe just for that reason, and for fear of the unknown. I’m just intrigued to know what I will be exactly punished for? I’m not perfect but then again who is!? Maybe I’m in the place I should be, my honesty is my religion.

If so is it only due to weightlifting and not other factors such as lack of nutrition, sleep, etc...

I'm trying to find the truth behind the controversial issue of stunted growth by weightlifting.

i mean like "butlers" sureley that a posh word for someone who serves another person?

Also drivers, i.e. Limo drivers, they just serve some lazy professionals who can't or wont drive themselves!!

You all may argue that these jobs are serving jobs but i still think they're slightly slave-ish!

Opinions please....

Hi, I wrote a question earlier about my horse being to small for me. Well just to let you know my horse is in fact a pony, she is 14.1 hands. Im a little too big for her but my riding school is getting a new horse next month so I will be transferred over to the horse.

We are going swimming with our horses this weekend. I am looking foward to it but am a little nervous at the same time. I was checking it up on the net and I read that it can be dangerous for you and for the horse. It said that when you get to deep water, that you have to lift off the horses back and trail your legs out behind you. It said that you can not stay seated on the back because you might start to drown the horse. Is this true? Im abit nervous because my mount is actually a pony not a horse and im worried that i might be too heavy and drown the pony. Last week my instructor said that I would be fine. But im still a bit aprehensive.

My lab is 16 yrs old. She's in good health, other than at times she does get arthrits in her hind legs.
One vet put her on "it's like Advil for people, but it is made for dogs....I cannot remember the name.
She is in no pain, I would NEVER let her suffer. But I wonder if anyone out there has any recomendations for the arthritis.....thank you!!!

I loved using newegg.com when I was in Chicago - great prices and no tax. But now in L.A., I was thinking - why should I pay extra for shipping, wait a few days, and miss the delivery?
Newegg doesn't have local pick-up, CompUSA is overpriced, and Microcenter is really far from SF valley.
