I resently had a hard drive go bad and the technician that repaired my computer erased a program. I have backups of the data, but can't find the software for the program anywhere. Is anyone aware of a way to find software for programs that are no longer available by the programmers company ?

if you are working for common program like word, powerpoint then you can find older version from Internet.
but if you have developed your special software for maintain your company management then you should submit your data to software desining company and again you have to develop new software.

You could try to search on-line. By the way, what is the name of that program?
