My neighbors Dad just passed from a long battle with cancer. I didn't know him well, but I'm friendly with the neighbor. Am I expected to go to the Memorial????

Someone just answered one of the many "Why won't Bush let Rove and Miers testify under oath" questions by saying that Democrats just want to set up a perjury trap for Bush's administration.

Wait a minute. When Democrats complained that Clinton was backed into a corner and lied under oath only because of that, it wasn't a good enough excuse. But if Bush allowed Rove and Miers to testify under oath and they lied... it would only be because Democrats forced them to, and that's an acceptable explanation? How does that work? Do you NOT see the hypocrisy here?

Before you jump on me: Clinton deserved to be impeached. I fully believe that. I am not defending his actions. I am pointing out the lack of integrity of Republicans avoiding having to say anything under oath because they won't be able to lie without punishment.

That is basically what this boils down to. They want to be able to lie, and if they're sworn to tell the truth, they know they could go to jail if they lie.

Al Gore recently gave a speech to a group of scientist. He stated that in 34 yrs all of the Arctic ice would be melted and that the oceans water level would rise 20 ft. after the speech every scientist there said that this was a lot of BS.

hiya all

I'm a 20-something crossdresser who would dearly love to go out publicly dressed up. I don't dress 'tarty' - i dress conservatively in a dark skirt suit, baby pink blouse, kitten heels, 15 denier stockings and have the underwear to match! i also wear a wig and have nice make up. Trouble is, i can't seem to make it out the door - its really frustrating. What can i do to get me out there? plus i also would love some make up advice or where i can get such advice from :-) eyeshadows are difficult!! what goes with blue eyes and/or my baby pink blouse?

This has happend to me just once or twice in my life yet. I was in status of about to wake up but all my attempts to wake up failed. I remember, I had my eyes opened, so I could see anything I could even move my eyes both horizontally and vertically but couldn't make any response of the outter area. I was unable to move my arms and legs. Neither my whole body was unable to move although I tried thousands of attempts to do so. I felt like I was trapped in a plaster. Suddenly, I got breathing problems as I couldn't breathe in...in about a few second I got awakened. The whole situation took about a few seconds but I thought it was eternity before I finally "started" all my brain "equipment" up. Apperantly, it has a lot to do with igniting the body from standby mode. Has anyone experienced that?

i am going to MEPS tomorrow for the navy. i am not going to meet their weight expectations but my recruiter knows that. so they take a measurment of my neck and waist and subtract the neck from the waist. all in all i am about a 1/2 inch to much. is there any way i can pass by tomorrow?
