My husband and I just purchased our first home. It currently has a newer almond fridge, a VERY old burgandy wall oven w/ countertop burners, and an older black dishwasher. We plan on taking out the wall oven and countertop burners and replacing them with a regular stove, and possibly purchasing a new dishwasher later. Now the question is, what finish should the stove be? We don't plan on living in this house more than ten years at the absolute maximum (probably closer to five). The fridge is so new, it seems like a waste of money to buy a new one. So should we buy an almond finish stove, and later a matching dishwasher? From watching many home improvement shows, I know stainless steel appliances add value to the home, but it's not worth a whole lot (we live in the middle of Missouri and are paying $110k for a 1700 sq. ft. home) and I wonder if putting them in would be upgrading the home too much for the neighborhood. Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I own a small business. We've never paid a cent for advertising in any form. We serve delicious meals at a fair price. If we were busier, we'd outgrow our present location, but don't want to.

Why do businesses pay for attention?

If their product or service is superior and well worth the cost...they will succeed, no?

Why pay to brag. Just do it.

I got sent a letter from a collection agency saying that I owe so much money for student loans.
What will happen if somebody shows up at the door with papers to serve me?

Will I have to respond or will they not be able to do anything other than find a default in court and try to attach my bank account or take something?( not much in there, and dont have anything)

My son & I haven't seen my husband since last Sun. when he left upset w/me. My son & I are moving 4 hrs. away next Sat.(hubby's idea, long story-he wants to save money-I think he's seeing someone else b/c of some evidence I have found, etc.) It seems as if he is upset w/me now or something(why else would he be avoiding me?-especially since he denies cheating-he should be trying to prove he isn't & he can't do that staying away for a week) Anyway, I don't know how I should act around him when I see him today. Should I try to discuss things between us(since I don't know really where he stands w/me & I stand w/him, etc.) or should I not bring "us" up & just move away & give us some space before I bring up our relationship, unless of course he brings it up?

about the sources of vitamins in "enriched" products, such as rice, wheat (flour) cereals, pasta, etc? Due to allergies, I have been researching vitamins, and have found that many are derived from animal sources. I spoke with several major manufacturers that confirmed this. Does anyone have information on this? I have found loads of conflicting information, but so far the answer points to yes, enriched products contain animal derivatives. So many common foods are "enriched" or contain ingredients that are enriched, such as processed foods and I am super curious about this. I appreciate any info

Estate agents in Spain have got a pretty poor reputation and I wondered if it was justified.
I have met some awful ones with great qualifications and big offices and some really good ones with little offices, or who work from home who have had a better understanding of what people want.
I am looking to move to the Costa Del Sol area

I did not file due to divorce and procrastination. Once I missed the first year it was harder and harder to do the next year. This year I want to catch up and get squared away. Even tho I withheld more than I owed, am I still in trouble? What would you do? This is U.S. income tax by the way.

One failed swoop?

One Foul Swoop?

One False Swoop?

or... One fair swoop?

Which one is correct and what is the history of this saying?

I think it is "One foul swoop." and that it is English or French and alludes to the executioners ability to get off a head in "One foul swoop?"

Right or wrong?

On the web, I was looking for the freezing point of gasoline. To no avail. The following ignorami plagarized answers and provided completely useless info: Tom, yonthejuggler, badbuick87, texasfirefighter, and Y!A's own embi40. (They must be retarded, and have brain malfunctioning issues.) No additivies, no avgas, just plain old unleaded gas, what is the freezing point? It is not complex. I am just looking for a number, and a verifiable and veritable source.
