I used to be a girl, and most people considered me a "butch lesbian" and I used to date lesbians.
Now, I'm in transition to male, and I pass really really well, but going through this transition and seeing others reactions and opinions (wanted or not) has jaded me. Lesbians now, are so concerned with maintaining their "lesbian image" to their friends, that they can't be seen with someone like me anymore. Even though just a few years ago, when I was a "butch lesbian" they thought I was the greatest thing since sliced bread. The narrow mindedness, the hypocricy and all..it just frustrates and disgusts me. I no longer have an interest in the gay community. Is this wrong? I feel like I'm turning my back on my community, but in a way, they've turned their backs on me.

I've been a self harmer for 2 and a half years, and I'm trying to stop........I've bought a self help book called "The Scarred Soul" and in it there are exercises where they ask you to write out answers to specific questions about your self harm in a journal.

Anyway, the thing is, as I've been working through the exercises, I've been getting strong urges to self harm - writing about it makes me want to do it more, and reading certain parts of the book almost gives me ideas of alternative ways to self harm.

I was told this book was really good, and I do want to work through things and eventually stop self harming, but is it a good idea to continue with the book when it's making myself harm urges worse? What should I do about this? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Its hard and to say every female has maintained her virginity sometimes she might loose due to hyper active sports like long jumps and cycling. what surprise me was people in eygpt still consider new bride unless she maintains her virginity otherwsie she will be divorse on the spot once confirmed

I'm a US citizen who moved to London, England exactly 2 years ago. I am on a 5 year work visa. I've been told that if I've been here for 4 years, I can automatically apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. So it looks like that will happen in 2009. It's also possible that I may marry a British citizen in the near future, looking like that will happen in the next year or so. So when may be the earliest I could become a British citizen. Also, I imagine this means that I can keep my US citizenship? I wouldn't give that up. I'd really like for my future children to have both US and British citizenship. Is there anyone out there who has gone through this process and can advise who I would contact for further support and information? Will I need a solicitor or can I do everything myself?

Recently I got promoted with bigger pay packages and managed to get the brand new company car, company phone, etc..., alongside with more responsibility. Fun for a while but...

I'm working longer hours these days, my clients could call me any minute and I'm taking work home most of the time..

Perhaps I should stand down and give myself more time to do other stuff....? What's more important - money or freedom?
