The girl I like is Chinese, from China and her mother seems very strict... We we're supposed to go to the mall together tommorow, but now her mother is saying that she'd rather have her stay with her, and this isn't the first time this has happened... I completley understand that alot of parents are "old fashoned" but if I start going out with this girl, do you think her mother will lighten up a bit or stay the same? Thanks.

My sister in law came to visit us in chicago and she is 7 months pregnant. She is from Indonesia.

I don't want her to fly back home just yet because she is pregnant. She will have to have her baby here. What are the qualifications for medicaid? She cannot afford to pay for the hospital bill and I can't help her either. What should I do?

I just got In an argument with my bf because he never keeps his word, he told me last night he wasnt going out that it was my night and Today he bought a concert ticket knowing that i was gonna be pissed and didnt tell me untill the last minute... I gave him an ultimatum ( i know bad thing to do) I told him it was his ******* concert or keeping his word to me and he chose to go, I told him that I needed time to think about it and i would let him know what i ws gonna do..... he went on telling me that he loves me alot and cares about me but he doesnt wanna waste 50 bucks.....I just need some advice... I was driving on my road to an appt this morning, this road is a highway, very busy, and at school time. Anyway, I came upon a dog that had been hit by a car laying in the middle of the road, soo of course I stopped, I had to stop in the middle of the road as there are nothing but ditches on either side. So I get out and approach the dog who looked like it had minor injuries, now I am in the middle of the road waving my arms, jumping up and down to slow traffic and have them go around. Needless to say not one person stopped to help me. I called my vet to get him ready and he told me not to attepmt to get the dog with my bare hands cause it could turn on me and it may bite, which scared me to death, I love all animals and dogs that I know, but I am a cat lady, I rescue and spay and nueter and rehome cats all the time, I have 7 of my own and have placed probably 50 others. So I call animal control who I also know and asked him to rush to come help me, meanwhile I left the poor dog .

I am a Muslim. My friend of 20+ years who has HepC was sent home yesterday to die. He has 3/4 days max. His wife and he decided to have a "good-bye party" for him (I know, totally inappropriate choice of words...I am sure you can see why I am stuck). As a Muslim I know in my heart of hearts he is going to finally be with God. As a human speck, I want him here on earth. I have lost people in the past, of course. Even the slow painful way. Q: how do I say goodbye to someone I know I am NEVER going to see again? How do I reconcile what is in my head (me and ego and fear etc, etc) with what is in heart (Allah and Islam). As a revert I can see this is a real opportunity for me to put my money where my mouth is re: faith. I don't want to be hysterical mess @ "party"(
