I'm in my last year of high school.
I'm new to the city.
I don't feel like making new, long-lasting relationships cause I might be going away again for uni.
I really want to feel like I'm in the social circle...but feel like there's no point...I want to know what you would do if you were in my shoes..

My father was in the military and he moved often enough, make friends there. You never know when an old friend will be there for you. I
In college you will find that friends are always moving and some will stay. High school friends can make a school year worth the experience.

All relationships do not have to be long lasting to be enriching and satisfying. Have fun in your last year of high school. Class of 1993. Learn the city, explore, see as much as you can. When you go away to university it doesn't mean you can never come back or not if you wish. Share ideas, thoughts, and laughter. Valuable skills that you will need in college. Practice on people who aren't long term. It's safer.

Make some good friends! Don't blow away your last year of highschool and end up kicking yourself later. And you never know what will happen. And half of those people with long lasting relationships may never see eachother again after highschool.

Stay anonymous and go the e-route.
There are social circles under just about every topic here on the internet.
I got involved in a book forum, and "met" some amazing people - most of which I will never meet in person.
But the camaraderie was amazing.

I would make friends while yes you are leaving there is no point in not having fun along your journey. If you end up leaving then you have people you can visit on a spring break

your still in high school, enojoy it. get some good friends but to get friends one must be a friend.
i would make some friends regaurdless if I were going to a uni. and since it is "better to be safe than sorry" and i note that you used "might" in your sentance that implies that their is no gaurantee so just to be safe i would make some friends.
