I just broke up with a boyfriend of over 2 years because he hit me once and I couldn't take that. Our relationship has been very complex, as we are both in love but we didn't treat eachother well. Our break-ups totalled maybe 20 for the whole duration of the relationship, if not more. The way he acted towards me was just plain rude and didn't appreciate me when I was with him.

Around Christmas time (after another one of our breakups), I started chatting up a local boy who seemed very interested from the start. He is incredibly intelligent (attends Princeton University), is very good-looking, fit, drives a Camaro, and was nice to me from the start.

Him and I were supposed to go out on a little date, but it never happened. My boyfriend and I got back together and that just broke the guy's heart. As a result, him and I barely kept in contact for the subsequent months.

Now, my boyfriend and I are totally done and I felt the need to get into contact with the local boy. (cont'd)

When I was 30, I enjoyed it.
When I was 40, I asked for it.
When I was 50, I paid for it.
When I was 60, I prayed for it.
When I was 70, I forgot about it.

Now, I am 80 and the damn things are growing wild on the beach and I'm too old to squat."

I've had very painful nipples for the past 2 days they hurt so bad even having a bra or shirt just touch them hurts and like 3 days ago I felt like sharp cramps for a few minutes and didn't feel them anymore. My husband and I are expecting a son. I strongly dislike typical boy clothing and like unique, gender neutral items instead. I hate all that blue cheap cotton stuff with boats and cars all over it. So I've been unique buying clothing at nice stores for our baby boy.

Well, my mother in law showed up at our house with a HUGE bundle of run of the mill baby boy clothing complete with blue pants sets with cars, trains, sail boats and inane sayings like daddy's little boy on T-shirts. In short, my personal nightmare. Stuff I would never put my son in. I was gracious and thanked her for all the clothes thinking I could just hide them in the closet when she said more were on the way and she was going to continue to buy more stuff for her new grandson. HOW DO I AVOID THIS? Weeks earlier I showed her all the clothes I bought so she has a very clear image of our taste. I love this woman and I know she's only being generous but I really, really, really hate those kinds of clothes.

lived with one another for about 2 yrs. during that he went to prision i stuck around & waited. when he returned i told him i got with another out of lonelyness & sadness. i deeply regret it .have since it happend.it dent cure anything just made it worse. when hegot out thing started great i actuly realy feel i love with him. i worried about things he was doing and i voiced my feelings. well it lead to arguements & me feeling unherd and my feeling hurt. i would cry he dident hold me .finally he stoped coming home.he'd tell me every night (almost)that he'd be home so we could talk. no show. her & there he would show & we'd end up in bed. all i wanted is to work out our problems. well its now been 5 months & counting. thing have inproved. but im not sure if im any closer to getting my man back.or am i just a boody call? why/how could any one do that to someone who loves you.when do i finally give up? and let another win my heart.? the thought of being w/another makes me sad. i want him.

I'm thinking of 'manly' men as the likes of Sean Connery, Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando, etc, all those who exude a strong machismo, power, confidence and sexuality. Or the more sensitive man in the vein of Ewan McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal etc, the kind, warm, caring and considerate type.

Or do you prefer a hybrid of the two types, those who embody aspects of both archetypes, such as George Clooney or Clive Owen?

My 16 year old had to go the doctor yesterday, and we made an appointment for a physical, where she is missing some inncoculations, as well as taking the new Gardisal vaccine. She got herself all worked up and threw up in the bathroom and was shaking and crying. What can I do when the actual innoculation shots come?
