I have absolutely no belief he will (Saddam disarm). This is something I have followed for more than a decade. If he were serious about disarming, he would have been much more forthcoming. There may be progress, he may be destroying the Samud missiles, but there is no accounting for the chemical and biological stocks. I just respectfully disagree about the proximate cause of any action that might be taken is. I also believe for now nearly 20 years, the principle reason why women and children have suffered in Iraq is because of his leadership.
The real question is how does someone bring about a disarmament of someone with such a proven track record with a commitment, if not obsession, with weapons of mass destruction?
This is not a Republican.
