I have absolutely no belief he will (Saddam disarm). This is something I have followed for more than a decade. If he were serious about disarming, he would have been much more forthcoming. There may be progress, he may be destroying the Samud missiles, but there is no accounting for the chemical and biological stocks. I just respectfully disagree about the proximate cause of any action that might be taken is. I also believe for now nearly 20 years, the principle reason why women and children have suffered in Iraq is because of his leadership.

The real question is how does someone bring about a disarmament of someone with such a proven track record with a commitment, if not obsession, with weapons of mass destruction?

This is not a Republican.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. Don't know who said it, but this part:

"The real question is how does someone bring about a disarmament of someone with such a proven track record with a commitment, if not obsession, with weapons of mass destruction?"

How? Stop the U.S. from selling them to him!

As they had been doing in the Years previous to turning on him.

I'm not sure what your point is.
Who sent our soldiers into battle? BUSH.
Who has killed more Iraqis than Saddam? BUSH.
What matters is not who said what. What matters is who used faulty intelligence to convince both democrats and republicans alike, that there was a legitimate reason to invade a sovereign state. THE BUSH / CHANEY WHITEHOUSE
