Their is a Chinese proverb which translates into something like "If I hear I forget, if i see I remember, if I do I learn ."? I cannot recall the exact wording though. Could someone help me here? I am sure if I spot the right one it will come back to me.

My first computer was a C64 in 1985. My neighbors had an Atari 400 and a Vic-20. After the C64 I stepped up to an Amiga 500.

Yesterday, this guy in the vendor booth talked to me in the Mall, and he wanted to see my identification. I was like okay, and I handed him my ID card... He typed my info on the cpu... Then I was like, I'm not interested in having a payment plan right now, and he was like "Okay, that's cool." Then I realized I was so stupid to give him my Military SSN, so I went back to tell him to not reveal any info to anyone else or sell my SSN to anyone... He was like "Don't worry, we follow the terms...yadda yadda."

A month later I recieved a Bill of $30,000 worth of crap... I was like ****! I'm mad, and I really don't know what to do right now, I don't have an attorney yet... Is there another way? I can't think of a way to get rid of this, I'm in debt right now.

I tried finding the guy in the Mall, but his co-workers said he's on vacation and took a trip to Hawaii. They couldn't even tell me his first and last name because it's confidential. **** them... Don't ever trust T-Mobile.

I want to find an accurate psychic in chicago in the south side/suburbs.?
I have been to my share of psychics and I went to one called Destiny like 5 years ago near the south east side of chicago. She was awesome, and the only good psychic I ever went to. Every other psychic tried telling me that my aura needed "cleansing" and that I needed to give them lots of money to get my spirit cleansed. . which is a red flag for psychic scammers. So does anyone know of good psychics in chicago (preferably south) that are accurate, don't over charge, and won't try any scams??

"Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I keep seeing people saying caqtholic/christian etc but christians and catholics are the same. You worship the same person you follow the same doctrinces - Catholics are Christians just like baptists are christians, just like lutherans are christians. People have to understand this, there are not many different chritian religins, just chritian churches with different traditins but the message and belief is still the same! Go ahead and enlighten me about what is so different between Catholics and Christians if you can!

Since i was 5 or 6 years old if i'm not mistaken,i have a sudden interest in either watching tv that shows dramas or movies that has a hero performing CPR on the heroine to revive her back to life either due to drowning, asphixiation, heart attack, etc. until now.I also loves to read medical books with CPR illustrations(female as the victim) when i go to the library.Sometimes i did mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions on my wife for fun.My wife does admit that i'm kinda weird for choosing this as a fetish but later on she does'nt mind at all.She said she love it to since she get used to it for quite a long time.I do worry if i might broke her ribs or even interupt her normal heart rythm while doing chest compressions on her but so far she's ok.Seriously i love her so much and really don't want her to get hurt just because of my weird fetish. Is this something normal for a men to have such a fetish? If it's normal/not normal, can you guys tell me what's the logic for such?

Have you ever happened to overhear one of your friends' conversations about you? A conversation in which they have no clue that you are totally listening to them? What if they are good friends to you when you whenever you are around, but just this 1 time you hear some apalling opinions coming from them? What are you supposed to do? Do you just disregard the statements they made? Or do you stop associating yourself with them? How would you handle it?

During a flight of frustration, I rashly re-installed a fresh copy of Windows XP without any preparation (I did a 'new installation' instead of the 'upgrade' installation--which is what I should have done). I already posted a question about how I can get back into the user account directory for my old account (still hoping for a positive answer). My more serious problem however, is that the RAID-1 array I had is no longer recognized as a formatted disk. It is present as one logical disk, but the Windows disk manager says it is unallocated (unpartitioned). Repartitioning and reformatting is out of the question because I have data on there that is irreplaceable. I don't understand why Windows doesn't recognize it since I didn't do anything to it. Any ideas about what I can do?
