I am assuming you are talking about puppies that are still with their mother. If so they don't need much attention at all. The mother will basically tend to them. If you are talking about a puppy after you bring it home at about 7 or 8 weeks it is still very young and wants to sleep a lot. When it is awake and active it need to be fed probably about every 4 hours and held and played with occasionally. As it gets older it will let you know it wants more attention.

A lot!
You have to housebreak them and train them. This takes a lot of time. Also you have to play with them.
About 2 hours in the evening should be spent with the puppy. Also you need to spend all day on Saturday and Sunday playing with the puppy, and training it on how to use the bathroom, how to do some basic tricks like come and sit, and get it used to being brushed and washed.
You dont have to spend so much time with it when it gets older though, because it will be trained and behave properly. You still need to give it at least a half hour of full attention every day though in addition to just patting its head or talking to it while you do your normal activities.

A ton! Any young animal needs a good amount of care and attention in order to develop good behaviors and socialization. Puppies more so than kittens. If you are looking to get a puppy, be sure that you will have plenty of time to spend with him/her.

Puppies need alot of constructive attention, making sure you are starting to teach them as soon as possible, the things you want them to know. Get a good start and on't leave the training too long. But remember too, puppies need ALOT of sleep, they grow when they sleep, heal when they sleep, they need that sleep...

Puppies are like babies. They need a lot of attention. This is also the stage to toilet train them as well as teach them to behave. They also get lonely being left alone for a long time.Make time for your puppy.

as much as you can give them, honestly this is their most active age. try teaching your puppy to play fetch so you can keep it occupied. or if you have kids you wont have to worry about giving your puppy not enough attention

Lots, think newborn child,I recomend you think very carefully about this if you are considering getting a puppy.A good thing would be to visit your local animal shelter, they have so many dogs you'd probably find one suited to your situation and personality.

Believe it or not. Just as much as babies! They're first months (for humans, years) are very important. Play and run with them alot, they need it.
