Why the F*** is tuition at private universities so goddamn expensive!!! My god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Private schools are ridiculously expensive, but they offer better financial aid. I got more grants from the private schools than from public ones, so just keep that in mind. And also, you are getting better education at private schools (most of the time) so it is worth it, especially if it's your top choice school.

Because the schools are private and not subsidized by the government. Honestly though do not look at the price tag. Look at the tuition price as the MSRP of a car at a dealership. With discounts(grants and scholarships), rebates(loan forgiveness programs), and financing(loans govn't and private), most people do not pay the exact price tag.

For example, I attended Emory University which has a tuition price of about 30,000+ a year. I graduated with about a total of 15,000 in loans because I was offered grants by the school, and had scholarships that reduced the tuition price.
