Since i was 5 or 6 years old if i'm not mistaken,i have a sudden interest in either watching tv that shows dramas or movies that has a hero performing CPR on the heroine to revive her back to life either due to drowning, asphixiation, heart attack, etc. until now.I also loves to read medical books with CPR illustrations(female as the victim) when i go to the library.Sometimes i did mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions on my wife for fun.My wife does admit that i'm kinda weird for choosing this as a fetish but later on she does'nt mind at all.She said she love it to since she get used to it for quite a long time.I do worry if i might broke her ribs or even interupt her normal heart rythm while doing chest compressions on her but so far she's ok.Seriously i love her so much and really don't want her to get hurt just because of my weird fetish. Is this something normal for a men to have such a fetish? If it's normal/not normal, can you guys tell me what's the logic for such?

Fetishes are not about what's normal or not normal. It's just about what does it for you.

As far as CPR on your wife goes, there's probably no damage possible from mouth-to-mouth, just don't blow too forcefully.

I'd stop the chest compressions, though. When CPR is done properly, ribs can be dislocated, and it's pretty traumatic on the body. Have you ever closely watched CPR being performed on "ER" or other medical dramas? They aren't really compressing the chest at all, just bending their elbows so it looks like they are compressing the chest.

In reality, CPR is rarely effective, not like TV at all.

Odds are, you probably have a desire to be the "hero". There's nothing wrong with this; just thank God you have a very understanding wife :)

Hope this helps...

Sounds like this is a bit of a fantasy for you. I am not sure its a good idea to be performing CPR on a healthy person. This can disrupt the normal cardiac nerve conduction; and I would imagine after a period of time it might cause problems with her heart. Yes you are right, you could fracture her ribs or the cartilage in the sternal area could dislocate.
Maybe you should consider becoming a paramedic or volunteer rescue person. You see this as a glamorous and romantic scenario I think. If you could be on the scene a few times, or work in a hospital you would see it a little differently I think.
Don't get me wrong, I think its a great fantasy. I just think you need to play it out for real.

The fetish I believe is dervived from one's desire to be a hero (or having the "rush" while performing heroic acts) or to be respected as such. Where wanting to be a hero is perfectly normal having a fetish such as your might not exactly be that healthy. I would highly recommend you stop performing CPR on your wife because one day it could severely hurt her. CPR is meant for unconscious and unresponsive patient and you should keep it to that. Try to develop a different fetish with your wife that you both can enjoy. Hope this helps

I've discovered that fetishes aren't about what's normal or not normal. They seem to be hardwired into the person. Some fetishes I'm squeemish about because pain can be inflicted. Even if someone likes the pain...that just doesn't feel right to me. However, something like this really can't have much of a downside. Just chalk it up to your uniqueness.

first thing first, you should NEVER do CPR on a person that doesn't need it, you can seriously injure them. an if you "love" you wife you probally dont want to hurt or kill her.
You interest in seeing CPR done is nothing unusual because people are just naturaly nosey and want to see gorry things. You just seem to have a little more of an extreme case.
Just STOP DOING CPR ON YOU WIFE!!!

It is DANGEROUS for you to be giving CPR to somebody who doesn't require it; it can result in their death.

However, as for fetishes, whatever you do in your spare time is your choice!
