I'm fixing to turn 21, I know it's silly but did anyone feel like it's all just going to go downhill from here? It's just really setting in that I'm not a kid anymore, true adulthood and its scary. Anyone else feel like this?

Liberals are supposed to "respect the office of the president." Yet it's different with Clinton, because he commited adultry? Is it because Clinton's not in office - doubt it - I bet conservatives were as vehement in their rants against Clinton while he was in office. My 9 year old yellow Labrador is a diabetic, therefore, he developed cataracts in both eyes. He can now only see light and dark. Anyway, just a little less than an hour ago, I let him in from outside and gave him his daily shot of insulin. He was about to jet through the kitchen to get upstairs to his food bowls. However, a friend was going downstairs into the basement, and he made the mistake of turning down into that stairwell. Well, he completely fell down all of the basement stairs (because he couldn't see where he was going). He simply got up and went looking for his food, though. I'm worried maybe he was just in such shock that he fell down the stairs, that he can't feel if anything is wrong yet. I brought him upstairs to get his food, and he wasn't limping or anything. Still, I'm worried that he may have hurt his hip while falling down the stairs. How can I check his hips with my hands? I don't want to take him for an unnecessary vet visit and have to pay, when I can check.

A price floor is a price floor. It renders illegal the sale of the good or service for a lower price. That doesn't mean the same good or service is purchased at a higher price - it means goods or services for which the market assigns a lower price are not purchased.

Raising the minimum wage does not magically lift anyone's wages for the same reason a minimum price of $35/case for beer would cause anyone to pay that much for Old Milwaukee Light. Consumers would just switch to a higher quality product and/or buy less.

The difference with labor is that we all start out as Old Milwaukee Light and through experience and knowledge most of us become Bud, then Coors, and many of us Heineken and some of us Spaten. But not if we're frozen out of the workforce entirely when we're just starting out.

It's not a judgment that people don't "deserve" more - the issue is that you're not giving them more - you're taking away from them what little they have.

I'm of mixed Puerto Rican/Italian-Irish heritage, but I have a couple of questions regarding hispanics. I'd like 2 start by saying I don't mean 2 generalize in any way, & I understand that not all hispanics r a certain way or as the questions I ask here.
1st off, why do many hispanics give people dirty looks all the time and stare a lot? I know people can be mean 2 them but they often look at me (as well as others) & stare for no apparent reason (I don't even look at them in any bad way). Most of the time they stare and don't even know the person, why are they so judgmental, especially 2 people who they don't know?
Secondly, why do they put white, asian, & mixed hispanic-white people down so much but yet a lot of them glorify black people so much? A lot of them put us mixed ppl down.
Third, why is it when I go to a resturaunt or store if there is a hispanic working there they are usually nasty & rude with their service, esp girls?
Lastly, why are a lot of them so homophobic?

I've been having these horrible pains on the right side of my chest for a few days now....It feels like my rib or something is stabbing my lung. I'm making a doctor appointment today, but I'm a lil freaked out because I did some internet research, and everything that matched my symptoms sounded bad.
