The Bible treats abortion basically as a misdemeanor, and specifically NOT as murder. Read this carefully:

Exodus 21:22: "When people who are fighting injure a pregnant woman so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no further harm follows, the one responsible shall be fined what the woman's husband demands, paying as much as the judges determine. 23 If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe."

Now, clearly the Bible says "causing miscarriage" (i.e., causing a spontaneous abortion) = fine to be determined by the court. In modern society, we call that a misdemeanor.

"If any harm follows" - meaning the wife dies, then "eye for eye"

In other words, it clearly makes a distinction between an unborn child and the mother.

It really couldn't be clearer.

My modem randomly loses connection to the internet on my computer. I have tried to reconnect the wires again, still the same. All of a sudden this started two months ago. Its driving me nuts, I could be searching the web and it just stops! Then it starts, then it stops. It takes an hour just to do anything, and this is a fast modem and computer, I need help!

After reading the passage below, tell me what is odd or unusual about it, other than it doesn't make a lot of sense. There is nothing WRONG with this passage, it's just got something unusual to it.

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

Also, this passage is from the book "Gatsby". My father forwarded this to me, he's got a knack for these things.

I've been married to my husband for 20 years. We are now going through a divorce. I was only 16 when I married him, and he kept me from getting an education, working, and having friends. He even kept me from having a good relationship with my family. I moved around with him a lot because of his job and I stayed home to take care of our three children.
