My husband and I are having car trouble, and have a baby on the way in 2 months. We are scraping by financially right now. We just rented a 3 bedroom house with unbeleivably NASTY carpet, I'm talking must see to believe. Its a fixer upper, and we told the landlord we would do some work, as she gave us a deal(I guess). Our rent is 850.00 per mnth in N.C.
Anyway, she left the carpet as is, so we replaced it ourselves. We spent 1900.00. Would it be wrong to ask for a free months rent? That would put us paying for half. And if so, how should I word it when asking her? Thanks, I know this is a boring question, but I'm nervous about asking.

Ok, we have all seen the "homeless" collecting money at offramp intersections. And I'm sure some have given them a dollar. But what would you do if someone was holding a sign that said--"will take your empty pop can or water bottle? Help me keep ----- looking nice."

Just curious because believe it or not I have considered doing just that.

Think about it. We work hard, we play hard. We provide the most foreign aid of all, even to countries that hate us. We are a country comprised of immigrants who, in a lot of cases took nothing, and built this great land. We end up being the "playground monitor" for the rest of the world, and we get called names. we were quite shocked to hear i was pregnant but ever since then we fight like crazy all of our bad personality traits are coming out. right now he is out of state working been gone for 3wks be home monday it has been horrible since he has been gone im severely depressed he is loosing his patience with me i know it is a combination of things we have never been apart from each other, we did plan this pregnancy, we are both stressed and feel pressured by our current bills pilling up and how to dig ourselves out and taking things out on each other in a way that is hurting us and cant be healthy for the baby. Has anyone experienced anything similar and is it normal for a young couple to have not have any issues b4 getting pregnant and then misplacing stress and fear onto each other in a negative way? and how to we change it? how do we get through it?

I am an African American female who is considering joining the navy. I am not at all vain but I know that if I wear my hair down for several months in addition to regular swimming it will fall out and not grow back. I have several bald or balding female relatives as evidence. I want to know if you can wear hair braids (extensions) at boot camp if they are regulation length. Really want to join the navy. Think it is the best branch no offense to the others but I do not want to make myself bald for it.

I dont know I did right or wrong, I just did it. please tell me was it a wise thing to do.?
I got good answers from here. My prob was my friend was not able to give me much of her time. I just sent her a letter saying that she needs to concentrate on other things so its not necessary that we should talk daily, we can talk once in 10days or once in a week ( we have been talking daily) I told her I dont have any problem in talking to her, I am just worried abt her studies. I left the final answer on her. If she wants to continue talking to me daily I dont mind.
Did I do right or was it a mistake? what do u think what will her a reply, please guess.

I am from Missouri, and we have a saying "Don't tell me, show me."
I consider myself a religious person, but I also try to be as open minded as possible.
Can anyone do the Dr. Frankenstein thing and make dead things come to life? Or even better, can a scientist take substance that has never been alive and give it life?
I'm not talking about splicing DNA or cloning; neither of these actually involve the creation of life, and frozen embyos aren't "dead."
I am aware that it's not possible to empirically prove that God exists, but, on the other hand, it is not possible to prove God does not exist. You can speculate any way you want; that is only opinion. Show me that a human being can create life and provide evidence that it is factual information. If that can be done, I might have justification to adopt at least agnosticism, and perhaps atheism. Until then, I am inclined to believe there is some sort of undefinable mystery in the universe than can be called "God." Thank you.

It seems like the Chrisitans burial rituals almost rival those of the ancient Egyptians. They embalm the bodies, put them in a suit, stick them in air-tight caskets and bury them deep underground with jewelry, flowers and whatever ornaments the person was attached to in life....

Oh and sometimes goodbye notes in case the person my want to look over them and see how much they are missed....

What is the purpose if you don't get your body back?
